Update 2 This review is for the public to know my firsthand experience and opinion of how I was treated at this café. No amount of deflection or defensive responses will change what happened or how it made me feel.
Please read all the negative reviews and observe how the owner replies, often combative and dismissive. That alone says a lot about the mindset behind this place.
I clearly stated I was "denied service at the entrance" — as soon as I entered. Now they’re twisting words to question my credibility, saying things like “you claimed you didn’t enter” and “CCTV shows otherwise.” That kind of spin says more about them than anything else.
If you have a negative experience at this restaurant, be prepared for gaslighting and public dismissal. It’s mentally draining. If you value your peace and self-respect, choose wisely.
Reviews exist so people can learn from each other. They’re not for businesses to approve or reject ('disregard').
UPDATE – In response to the owner’s misleading reply: I was denied service at the entrance before I even took a seat. Staff told me, unprompted, that I wouldn't be served due to a “busy day.” and if take any seat I have to leave in 10 mins! I was a paying guest not a beggar knocking the door. If anyone felt “uncomfortable,” it reflected their own conduct — I was the one mistreated.
The owner’s attempt to twist facts & narrative is both dishonest and disappointing — a pattern echoed in many negative reviews. This culture of deflection is exactly why the staff feels entitled to misbehave. One day, it will backfire.
Unfortunately, your response only reinforces why this feedback needed to be shared — not just for me, but for every guest who’s experienced similar behaviour and stayed silent.
Earlier Review:
This place, unfortunately, does not deserve any star.
They have seriously crossed the line.
Despite visible empty seats, I, a single customer, was flatly told today: “It’s a busy day, we won’t serve you.” When I questioned, the response shifted to: “okay, you can sit for 10 minutes, no laptop allowed.” - really, they wanted me to swallow the meal...can they even serve in 10 mins.
Shocking is an understatement — it felt more like a holding cell than a café, where one is treated as an unwanted guest. Is this how they treat customers they assume bring smaller wallet value? This is the problem with such cafes in part of the geo where they prioritise 'showbiz' over authenticity.
This isn’t my first unpleasant experience here. I’ve given them multiple chances — like many, swayed by the buzz. But not anymore.
Dismissive, disrespectful, and shockingly unprofessional — especially toward a solo woman guest.
Let that sink in. This is a place many in our community visit and recommend. But what do you call a business that openly mistreats paying customers simply because they believe they’re too popular to care and are totally transactional in their behaviour...beyond rude....having the audacity to insult straight away?
Having spent nearly 2 decades in global hospitality, I must say: Brews & Bagels may have a great setting, but it fails on the most essential principle — respect. Instead of hospitality, their staff is focused on policing guests. A misplaced sense of superiority for what is, frankly, a small, overhyped café.
And this is not a one-off: – Food quality/ingredient feedback (aglio olio)? Met with great defensiveness & explanation. – Simple health-based customization for breakfast? Dismissed without logic - but the owner finally came to the rescue and performed service recovery. However, it was laced with a lecture and defensiveness.
So, unfortunately, I gave it another shot today. The owner wasn’t around — and the staff quickly slipped back into their usual behaviour/tone: entitled and indifferent.
They rather fix their mindset — before one fine day market humbles them. In hospitality, what goes up comes down - it's a...

A special mention must go to the heart and soul of the place, Kavita Suri. From the moment you walk in, she greets you with such genuine warmth and a bright smile that you instantly feel like you’ve known her forever. She truly makes the café experience memorable.

My day honestly feels incomplete without a coffee from here. Over time, this place has become a part of my routine — a quiet, welcoming corner where I can unwind, catch my breath, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee.
The staff are always warm and courteous, and there’s a genuine sense of care in the way they interact with guests. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the heart behind it. Kavita, the owner, is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and often indulges in meaningful conversations that leave a lasting impression. You can tell she’s built this café with a lot of love — and it shows in the vibe, the people, and the consistency.
I’ve seen how calmly and gracefully the team handles busy days — never compromising on respect or warmth. It’s disheartening to see harsh criticism that doesn’t reflect the essence of what this café stands for.
Brews N Bagels is a place where community, comfort, and kindness come together — and I’ll always be...
