I recently visited Haldiram's and had an overall pleasant experience, but there are a few things worth highlighting for potential diners. The food is undoubtedly delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. They also deserve credit for using biodegradable utensils, which is a thoughtful and environmentally friendly move. It’s always a delight to enjoy a meal knowing the establishment cares about sustainability. However, I must be honest about an aspect of their service that left me disappointed. Haldiram's has transitioned to a completely tech-driven ordering system where you scan a QR code to view the menu, place your order at a self-service counter, and wait for your food. While this might seem innovative, it feels inconvenient in practice. For instance, if I initially order just two chapatis and later decide I want another one, I have to repeat the entire process: scan the menu, order, stand in the queue again, pay, and then wait for my food. By the time my additional chapati arrives, my curry is cold, and my hunger has often faded. This process takes away the spontaneity and ease of dining that you expect, especially for smaller orders or add-ons. Haldiram's food is undeniably tasty, but it comes at a hefty price. While I appreciate their effort to embrace technology, I feel this system could be better optimized to enhance the overall dining experience. A balance between traditional and modern approaches could make it a more enjoyable and hassle-free visit.
Would I recommend it? Yes, for the taste and sustainability efforts. But be prepared for the tech-first service, which may not be...
Read moreTheir menu on Google has not been updated. Wasn't expecting the price to be double of that.
They don't have menu cards there for customers to choose from the table itself, you would have stand on the counter while you decide which recipe you wanna have.(Note:Self Service) Atleast they should provide 1 menu card for each table, once someone has decided together on table with family, only then can they easily order.
OK lastly let's talk about food here, my brother had ordered noodles and when the order arrived what I saw shocked me the noodle amount was very low and it tasted horrible with too much salt. So don't expect much from them in the Chinese food section.
We others had order South Indian dishes which almost included all the South Indian dishes and I can tell that their South Indian food is very delicious and you can know from one bite that they have taken extra care to make the food good for your health by not putting too much masala or anything. So you deserve 3 stars only for that...
Read moreWe have been to so many Haldirams but this has been the most disappointing and a disgrace to their name.
There was constant smell when we entered (excusable) Service is extremely slow. We were standing at the counter and could see when the staff would fill half the thali and then disappear for 5 minutes inspite 5 more staff members there and hardly any other orders to be fulfilled that time. Most items served were cold 4 most items lacked in taste as well - Masala in dosa was tasteless, bhatura tasted different, Rice in thali wasn’t good either, momos were tasteless, thick and full of oil. Of course staff was rude as everyone has said above
Hope someone from Haldirams management takes note and takes action against them as this is outlet is destroying their...
