A Luxurious Dining Experience at Poiz, Gurgaon
Gurgaon’s vibrant dining scene has welcomed a new gem—Poiz, a fine-dining restaurant in Sector 66 that seamlessly blends luxury and a family-friendly atmosphere. The brainchild of Ansh Gupta, Poiz stands out in the hospitality landscape by offering a well-crafted space for lunches, dinners, and casual get-togethers throughout the week, while ensuring a warm, welcoming environment for families on weekends.
First Impressions
Stepping into Poiz felt like entering a world of elegance and grandeur. Spanning a massive 10,000 square feet, the restaurant boasts a theatrical theme with statuario marble walls, fine veneers, and luxurious tapestries. The terrace, lined with lush palm trees and a French-inspired patio, provided a serene setting for dining under the open sky. Meanwhile, the lounge exuded warmth, making it the perfect space for socializing and unwinding. To elevate the experience further, live musical performances on Fridays and Saturdays set the mood, while the Sunday family brunch made it an inviting spot for weekend indulgence.
The Dining Experience
Unlike many trendy new restaurants, Poiz differentiates itself by prioritizing a holistic dining experience—one that not only delivers exceptional food but also focuses on creating a beautifully designed space that fosters togetherness. The inspiration behind Poiz stemmed from a deep passion for food and a desire to build a gathering space where families can bond over shared meals.
The menu at Poiz is an adventure in itself, offering a diverse selection of global cuisines to cater to varied tastes.
I had the pleasure of trying: Joojeh Chicken Kebab – Juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. Chicken Makhani Cheese Naan – A rich and indulgent take on a classic favorite. Lankan Boti Kebab – Tender, spice-infused bites that melted in the mouth. Ponzu Tofu Sushi – A refreshing vegetarian option with a delicate balance of flavors. To complement the dining experience, Poiz’s bar offers a wide selection of premium spirits and expertly crafted cocktails by their talented mixologists. Whether you're in the mood for a classic whiskey sour or an innovative signature drink, the bar has something for everyone.

Food: My family who had non vegetarian fare rated it 4.5 out of 5, however, my vegetarian fare was extremely disappointing - I would rate vegetarian as 1/5. The grilled shish kabab veg was extremely bland. I also ordered the Asian Stone Bowl veg. Noodles - did not understand the taste, neither basic soy, nor schezwan. Both my dishes had extremely finely chopped veggies that were hard to eat. I ordered the stone bowl mainly coz it promised me so many veggies mentioned in the menu, especially water chestnuts, but they were nowhere to be found. The chicken noodles too barely had any chicken.
Ambience: The only luxury is in the interiors, but the decor is liberally sprinkled with plastic plants, which is a downer. Coming to the tableware, nothing luxurious about it, even the napkins are paper napkins not cloth which have no thickness and tear at the slightest touch. Such a fine dining place deserves cloth napkins. Gurgaon is dusty and windy all the time, so open air sections should be cleaned regularly and dinnerware not left on the table until guests arrive, suggest to arrange it on the table once guests arrive. Our table was extremely dusty and I assume our plates too would have been. We got the table cleaned though and the plates changed.
Music: The band playing there was extremely good, they played old and new hits with great guitar skills and great choice of songs. Highly recommend them.
