I have visited The Beer Cafe on every trip to Delhi, and I was there again yesterday. However, this visit turned into a truly distressing experience. I was seated at the bar counter, where everything was recorded on camera. I ordered a gin and tonic, then a repeat, but when it was time to settle the bill, I noticed an extra drink was added. I calmly raised this issue with the bar and restaurant manager, Hardik Anand, and suggested checking the footage to verify my order. Instead of listening and resolving the situation, I felt as though they dismissed my concerns, treating me as though I was under the influence and could be easily misled.
To my shock, things escalated when they called over a security bouncer, who spoke to me rudely in a local dialect and made unwelcome physical contact in full view of my camera. When I asked him not to touch me, he sneered, mockingly asking if I thought I was a woman, and then laughed at my discomfort. The humiliation and violation I felt at that moment were beyond words. This was nothing short of mental harassment, and I felt deeply shaken and powerless.
If I had truly been at fault, they could have simply explained things to me calmly. I even had good faith in the staff, to the point that I had once sent extra money as a personal tip for the manager out of appreciation. But this time, it felt like they saw an opportunity to take advantage, perhaps assuming I was intoxicated and wouldn’t notice or wouldn’t stand up for myself.
I had to call the police due to how far things escalated, and even now, recalling that moment brings me significant distress. I am heartbroken to see such a lack of respect and care at an establishment I once trusted."
Let me know if this captures...
Read moreWorst Experience of my life. “The Beer cafe” has illiterate staff, Wrong Menu Who can serve alcohol to non drinkers. They think people who comes here is only for drinks. Staff was not attentive to orders. . They served Alcoholic Drink twice, even when we specifically ordered Non -alcoholic one. I left the cafe because I was feeling bad. Non Alcoholic persons should not go to “The Beer Cafe” even not for company like me.
We ordered one Pizza, one Alfredo pasta without white wine, one veg spring rolls and 2 virgin mojito and 2 beers. Servant Served us food and drinks. After one sip of drink I called the service boy and said “ drink bahut kadwi and Please add some sugar in both drinks” and after adding sugar he gave us again us then there was another service boy I said again “Bhayiya I think koi nimbu kadwa and jiski vjeh se bitter taste hai”. He said to me " mam alcohol thodi kadwi hogi" I never thought that it was alcohol. I said how you can serve alcohol to us when we were ordered you 2 virgin mojito. Firstly, He never accepted his mistake and after he gave us new drinks means two virgin mojito.
Can one new drink heal somebody mistake.
Two biggest mistakes in “The Beer Cafe”
If you order mushroom Alfredo pasta and it contain White wine. Even they don’t create a bottle sign in-front of them. Who approved their menu card. For me Higher management is also illiterate. A sign was placed in wrong place means it is placed in front arrabiata pasta.
How they can serve drinks to the non-alcoholic person. They don’t have common sense If somebody said mushroom Alfredo pasta without wine that's means there is some probability in the group who can be...
The beer cafe have had so many outlets all through out the country that they don't need any introduction for it. This cafe is located in the main hub of Cyber city on the ground floor.
One thing I like about Beer cafe that they have a theme ambience at all their outlets. So their theme feels resemblance.
We tried a lot of things here and it was not a disappointment. Hara Bhara Kebab This was a continuous starter. Large 6-7 pieces of kebabs made with veggies and served with onions and mint chutney. We had I think 4 servings of this plate. Achari Paneer Tikka Large cubes of paneer marinated with corn flour and spices with pieces of green and yellow bell peppers and onions. This was a ok starter, nothing new in it. Corn Bhel Crunchy corn served with a Bhel. A little let down Crunchy Dahi Roll Big pieces of crunchy bread rolls with filling of potatoes and hung curd and spices. An absolute delight.
We ordered a lot of alcohol ranging from Bira to tequila to vodka shots. Everything seemed good.
The service is right on point. The servers totally take care on the tables with asking on the orders...
