Terrible Experience with Theobroma and Zomato - Avoid at All Costs!

I ordered a hot chocolate drink and a cupcake from Theobroma via the Zomato app, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with food delivery.

First, the hot chocolate came with an unpleasant surprise—a disgusting insect floating in it. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hygiene standards at Theobroma. As if that wasn’t enough, the cupcake was an absolute disappointment—dry, stale, and so hard that it was nearly impossible to chew.

To make matters worse, when I escalated these issues to the Zomato customer service team, their response was extremely disappointing. No refund, no proper resolution, nothing. It’s clear that both Theobroma and Zomato don’t care about their customers or the quality of the products they deliver.

This experience has left me with a very bad impression of both Theobroma and Zomato. I will never order from Theobroma again and I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless you want to risk encountering similar issues. Zomato’s lack of accountability and poor customer service has also made me question using their platform in the future.

Disappointing Experience with Expired Products and Poor Customer Service

I've had the misfortune of encountering expired products from Theobroma Bakery at Galleria Market not once, not twice, but thrice!

Firstly, I received a hamper with expired items, which I thought was an oversight by the gift-giver. However, when I purchased a gift for someone and they found expired products, I brought it to the store's attention. Unfortunately, they were unhelpful and dismissive, telling me nothing could be done.

Despite these two negative experiences, I gave them another chance and purchased a mava cake last night. Regrettably, it was stale and expired. When I called the branch, the response was apathetic, with the staff member saying, "Mam, u picked it, what could we do about it?"

I would like to share my experience here as theobrama being such renowned bakery this has happened for the second time ..
