Visited omo for the first time and totally fell in love with the vibe and food. The warm ambience sets the tone, along with the attention to detail given to every small thing from plates to glasses to furniture and ofcourse the food menu. It looks like a labour of love and after a long time, have been impressed with something so unique and wonderful, which is hard to find in an era of cloud kitchens, cramped galleria cafes, and pseudo authentic cuisines popping all over gurgaon. This one is a genuine breath of fresh air and sure to make you want to go back. I hope they blossom and retain the charm, because it would be a terrible loss if they don't.
The overall experience was so nice that I almost forgot to mention the food and drinks, which is excellent, to say the least. The flavours were spot on and extremely delicious, so that breaks the myth about tasty equal to unhealthy. We had the herbal chamomile tea and the be calm tea, which were both wonderful. We also ate brocolli tostadas with guacamole & tortillas, and i cannot recommend this enough. Will definitely go back just for this alone! We also had the spinach dosa, which was nice. Cannot wait to go back and try the pizza and dessert.
Ps- this is (unfortunately) not a paid review. Thats just what good food and ambience does to your mood. I feel connected and invested in their...
Read moreThis is the kind of place I strive to be blessed to go to through out my life. We have a severe shortage of quality and distinction in our choice of restaurants in NCR, especially in Gurgaon. When I first walked in, I knew that this would be something special, not because of the ambiance but because I could tell that everything had been done with thought, care and intention.
They source food directly from farmers which makes the menu authentic and seasonal. The head chef is cheeky and has come up with some delectable innovations, especially the Beetroot Wellington. I love meat but that dish is better than the original, something which never happens.
The house made wine is a unique drink that you'll probably not get to taste any where else.
The coffee is magnitudes better than garbage served at Starbucks, Costa, Paul's, Cafe Coffee day or Barista. There is still room for improvement here. I'll give them a 7.5/10 for coffee.
The snacks and food tho, are incomparable in their excellence. I truly believe this is the best Cafe to ever have opened anywhere in India. ( hunted for cafes in all major cities of India already) this Cafe would succeed in Melbourne if it was replicated 1 to 1 and there can be no higher compliment.
Well done and I hope that you inspire and educate a generation of Cafe goers so they know what quality...
Read moreLoved the place , but the service was a horror. We were hungry and ordered everything at once and were chitchatting and were asked to leave in 1 hour and 45 mins. I don’t expect to be asked to leave after ordering about 6 dishes . We ordered a couple of things. 1st was chilli mushroom with balsamic vinegar, it was so tangy and on requesting them to check , they said they missed tossing them after coating with balsamic vinegar . 2. The beans and avo toastada dip was great except for the ragi chips which were almost too hard to chew. 3. There was a dish with toast with gruyere cheese with mango , we could hardly taste the cheese but overall not bad. 4. The barley Pearl and green pea sauce orsotto was probably the only saviour to our night, it was good. The desserts were an absolute disaster . 5. The tiramisu was really bad, the 1st one had no biscuits in half of it and was just a piece of cream, on getting it replaced we got a frozen one which even a knife could not slice. 6. The next dish was the Dulce de Luce cheesecake which tasted weird and had no biscuit base, could be their take on something . We had to request for water 2-3 times in the midst of all of this. Overall left with a bad taste in the mouth . I hope they act on their...
