Folks - Pub & Brewery — Restaurant in Haryana

Good. It’s a nice place to hangout with friends. They have their own brewery. Food is good as well but I think they can add more to it. Now you don’t need to go to Delhi everytime for a party.Basically they know that they don't have competition and they can loot their customers easily. Everything is over priced. Except for ambience I m not a fan of this place. The food is not at all value for money. I m OK going to this place just to avoid a drive to Delhi or ggn.The restro-bar offers some great draught beer at decent rates. The ambiance is quite good and the food is also amazing. In all it's a good hangout place in faridabad. This new joint has now become a go to place for the people of Faridabad with it's cool interiors which can give any renowned delhi cafe a rub for it's money and it's in house brewed beer. The place is always buzzing with good crowd no matter the time and the day, price don't burn a hole into your pockets and food also happens to taste good. They have a wide menu with all the essentials and quantity served is also decent with regard to the prices of the dishes. The place has a seprate smoking room for people in dire need of a light also ensuring the boundaries of people who don't. Overall the place is a must visit if you happen to find yourself in the city. Suggestion to the outlet : Kindly work of the service time as it is kind of slow. The most disgusting place who act so snobbish and don't even know the courtesy how to treat clients. In a place like faridabad this place will surely not survive for long with their hot headed attitude. Definitely a miss to place. Way too expensive for food and quality too sub standard. Visited with friends. More than Average ambience. Food quality is good and service is prompt. A joint suits fine dining for families and young couples. The music is loud and dining for a quite evening has no place. happened to visit over the weekend to this place, with a doubt as to how the place and crowed will be ambience nice but can be more enhanced, service is prompt and live music was also good and the quality of food was great the only part is where I believe they need to work on is the pricing as its slightly at a higher end ordered one Non veg Platter, one pitcher and Nachos and its for INR 2000/- in order to have good clientage as there are several options which are in either Defense colony & HKV & CP. with good ambience and price is justifiable.

How often does it happen that a really nice joint opens up in your neighbourhood and you are all excited. The ambience is really nice, food and drinks great, the staff courteous and the owners all ears to your most trivial whims. And then the crowds rush in and the success gets to the owners' heads. All of a sudden the customer is no longer the king: he is relegated to the position of someone who comes looking for a product or service, pays for it, gets it and then leaves. No one really cares if he is happy or unhappy or if he'd ever return because there are many more who will come.

With Folks, it is the same story. Faridabad had a dearth of any good eating places, leave aside brew pubs (of which I guess there is none other yet). With Folks, that changed. Good beer, reasonable food. The city really admired the new entrant as was amply visible from the burgeoning crowds. All of a sudden there was a change of attitude. It was their way or the highway. You got what they had and the feedback became a perfunctory ritual - a farce.

For me the epiphany came today when I visited the brew pub at around 6:00 PM when it was more than 80% empty. I took my favourite sofa where I usually sit with my family and friends. Since this time I was alone, the server asked to take another seat and vacate the sofa. I kept insisting that I am not going to be long and if all of a sudden dozens of customers rush to the brew pub in hoards, I will calmly move to another seat. The server was in no mood to listen and forced me to get up. I got up and left. He did not care to ask me why I was leaving.

For me the experience was too humiliating to muster the courage to ever visit Folks again. I guess there are other places out there with just as good drinks and food, and way...

In my opinion, this is the best place in Faridabad for beer . Their Buffalo Soldier beer is one of the best I have tried anywhere. Served super chilled, and has around 7.6% ABV which is what i liked the most. Taste is also good for the beer. They also have happy hours till 7pm on beer: 2+1. Food over here is very average though.. taste wise. Maybe they present it nicely.. idk.. not at all a fan of food here. Gurgaon branch is much better in terms of food.. probably because they are new. Lots of cost cutting is noticeable in their food. Taste and quality can be refined a lot more or sure to match bigger restaurants in Connaught Place and Gurgaon. Ambience is good. Air conditioning is good and comfortable. They have high seats and also couches available. Quality can surely be matched with the Gurgaon Folks, which recently opened, in terms of food especially. It seems food is not at par with the Gurgaon outlet. For seating, couches are good. High seats are a bit uncomfortable. The staff here is humble and nice always. Overall verdict: go here for beer. Food - definitely not. Radisson Blu has a lot better food... Might be costlier than this.. but check out my pics and video of chilli chicken here .. barely anything in there plus there is that coating there on chicken like you would find in street vendors selling same thing for 120-200 max. Absolutely bad in terms of food. Radisson will charge you a approx 200-300 more but that food is fantastic. And for their own game .. Catalyst in same sector has MUCH better food taste. Great...
