The delicious food, generous portions, and thoughtful pricing for vegan options (although at times I noticed she did not label some items as vegan, like a sandwich I had on a day special) truly reflect her values of inclusivity and affordability. Read moreBeetroot Café, the brainchild of Pema Dechen, is my go-to café in Bhagsu Nag. Located bang opposite the Vaishnodevi Temple on the Bhagsu Dharamkot slope, you will find this beautiful café, the warm lighting and minimal decor makes this place really cosy.
The ever gracious hosts will always welcome you with a smile and ensure you feel comfortable.
They specialize in vegan cakes & cookies and other delightful desserts. The food offered is mainly an Oriental affair. A must try is their Tibetan specialities, food that is prepared with loads of love.
Everything about this place is such a delight, wonderful hosts, great food and a perfect ambience.... What more can one ask for!
To sum it up, any amount of time spent at Beetroot Café, is time well spent! Kudos to...

I highly recommend the Buddha bowls, particularly the honey glazed tofu one and also the Tibetan noodle / dumpling soups. The ginger lemon honey tea is also perfect. I really enjoyed the homemade cake and deserts too.
