Dutta Cabin — Restaurant in Howrah

Dutta cabin is not a restaurant or 'hotel'....it is an emotion. I was appearing for some competitive exams and was thus staying at the nearby yatri nivas with my father and we used to go there everyday for lunch and dinner. The year was 2005 ! The only item on their menu i liked thought was the best was the fish. We had that every single day ! And truth be told it was amazing, I still miss the taste ! However globalization has its toll and they seem to have deviated from their traditional dishes which was their forte and gone contemporary, like everyone else. But dont forget this place has been standing for more than a 100 years now !! Although I do not like that, I believe many of their customers do like it. Nevertheless, it has been more than a decade since I last visited the place and would love to have the chance to visit again. But again, stick to the classic dishes and may be you will like it. ... and oh yes, I would hands down have my lunch here than at any of the fancier glass-walled 'food-joints' nearby selling...

Located beside river Ganges was contributor of pollution to river water. So, rightly, Administration took steps to shift it at distance from main station front. People are also not...
