AB's - Absolute Barbecues | Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad — Restaurant in Hyderabad

We never expect this, before coming here. It is not AB's, it is AF's, Absolute Failure's as far as both food menu and taste is concern. I don't think this is what AB's meant to be. I got fooled by fake publicity. Also got embarrassed with food menu and taste in front of my friends.

We have visited AB's Jubilee hills on 27th November for lunch.

They didn't serve mutton starter at all, remaining starters taste is not good, most importantly served very cold. Even though you warm it it will be like, eating night food in the morning. Veg starters like Cheesy potatoes, paneer tikka are poor in taste, very much raw and prepared long ago, served in very cold state.

Other than starters and main course, only 5,6 desert items are present, which are poor in taste again. Vanilla, strawberry, buttor scotch and pan ice creams are only available, very poor ice cream menu. We came at 12.45 to the restaurant, by that time their dessert freezer is almost looking empty. That means they didn't keep desserts at all and wants to manage with existing or leftover ones of previous day. Most importantly this happened on Sunday. Chat items, pasta are present. Menu is like normal non veg buffet in normal restaurant, lacks taste and commitment to serve tasty food to customer. Very suffocating atmosphere and ambience. I have felt like a small party arranged in 2 bed room flat. Staff out numbered by visitors. Any question about quality, quantity and items to the manager? Only answer you get is- " Our menu got changed recently.. sir"!. If we ask anything that is not present here, they will say that they will cook and give it to you, which won't happen in your life time.

Their standerds are very poor. Zero commitment to serve good and tasty food.

Flechazo is far more better option, where you will get more starters, more exotics, more desserts. Atleast 3 times better menu and ambience. You can get better restaurants out there for the half of the price you are spending here. I am mentioning each and every point in my lengthy review to make sure that, no one should not be in embarrassing situation infront of your family and friends like me. Don't boast about AB's to your friends. Tell them it must be last option.

A strict NO to this...

We have visited on 13th Nov 2023 evening,as it is a birthday party. We reached by 20:00 hrs. It is very nearer to Madhapur metro station ( 400 meters- walkable). Valet parking is there,if we come by car. No parking issues. AB's is present on 4th floor which has lift and steps accessibility.

It has more spacious inside. As we have gone on Monday, non veg table grill+ Iive counters+ Buffet costs 699rs + tax which is worth able. Rahman , AB's person was given to us to serve. We are total 7 adults & 5 children visited the place. Then arrangements were done happily.

Veg started are superb in table grill. Non veg items specially Fish, prawns are tasty. Chicken is not so spicy. On our request, a special dish was prepared which is prawns pakodi and is awesome tasty. First time,we have tried prawns pakodi. Chicken leg piece is juicy and wonderful. Overall non veg & veg starters are great. Then we have visited live counter ( in this only chaat ,Omlet, Chicken liver fry in pavbajji are prepared) . It is ok ok. Children like panipuri likely and it was tasty. Actually, chaat was given earlier to table when we have started at table grill.

Then coming to Main course. Veg items are more and very tasty. Non veg items are okok. Mutton curry is same as Fish curry ( I mean, may be same fish masala was added to mutton). Chicken biryani is good.

Main taste is in deserts. Children and most of us liked all deserts. Icecream, cake pieces, pastry etc should try.

One more thing, i need to add is a seperate counter with alcohol is also provided. Non alcoholic beverages are also good.

Finally, a small birthday party was done and AB's barbeque given a cake with audio ( On our request, DJ tillu song was played) and it is superb experience.

Overall, for us it is great to have a good dinner party with manageable price serving most...

I'm a huge fan of Absolute Baerbecues because of their amazing food and welcoming staff. However my visit on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with my family was quite disappointing. We usually visit ABs at Gachibowli which is a wonderful place. But Jubilee hills branch turned out to be a utter disappointment.

First of all, the place that was allocated to us was in 3rd floor which was pretty small when compared to 4th floor. It was filled with smoke and stinky smell from washrooms. So, just the ambience, made us lose our appetite.

Secondly, the buffet options are nothing like ABs famous grill menu. We asked for grilled pineapple and water melon. The staff said that they don't have it at moment which disappointed us. However, when we were done with our meal and were ready to pay the bill, that's when the staff bought us some. And there was nothing available in the live counter. Whatever we asked for they had only one answer - "We don't have it available now". Apart from this, one of the chicken starters was under cooked. This added to the disappointment. The desserts section was also mediocre. Nothing tasted good.

Now coming to the most sickening point - cleanliness. The plates, cups and other cutlery were in unbelievably bad state. Attaching some pictures for reference. In a pandemic situation like this, no one would want to visit a place which is extremely unhygienic.

Will I visit Absolute Baerbecues Jubilee hills again - Never. Will I try Absolute Baerbecues at a different location - Probably, but less likely.
