Ankapur Chicken — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Ankapur Chicken is a very different takeout restaurant. A uniquely great combination of traditional food, delivered home, cooked fresh and in very hygienic conditions. The place looks like a bistro without seating arrangement. It is modern, hygienic and food is delivered to you. This is a food joint that has grown on word of mouth, you taste the food and you get hooked.

This is a freshly cooked dish for which the cooking starts only after you order.  Secondly, the portion sizes are large.  The order size typically in one full bird for chicken, one kilogram for other dishes and 10 rotis.  This is a great restaurant for family event.  Have lots of guests home, do call Ankapur Chicken.

If you are a single person ordering just for only yourself, the order size will be too huge.  Just be aware of the fact.

Second, they cook only after you order.  So it will take time, so plan for this. It is NOT an afternoon cooked dish prepared in 20 kgs quantity being served to you in one plate portion.  But patience pays. The best part is they deliver and they pack in this very cute plastic bowls.

Beware that the food will taste best at spicy level.  Telangana dishes are spicy, so moderate spicy may not taste as good and you may not relish. Or take with curds after a bite or two.

The country chicken gravy is just out of the world.  You must try it, it is Telangana authentic spices – you can consider it as chicken korma curry.  Try with country chicken not broiler chicken.  The first time, I ate it, was hooked on the gravy.  Was not a great fan of Country chicken but developed a taste for it.  County chickens have no hormones injected in them so are healthier to eat.  They are also more flavourful.  If you must try with broiler chicken you can go ahead.

The bagaara rice is the best you can find in the city.  Bagaara rice is same as biryani rice with all the flavors from Kerala and various other parts of India.  Its fried rice with just spice tadka - It is really tasty here.  The good thing about bagaara rice is that it does not change the flavor of the curry you are having with the bagaara fried rice, so it allows you to get the full taste of the dish.
