Went with family and friends to celebrate birthday on Thursday night. Food, ambience and service were absolutely outstanding. Best bbq restaurant experience we have had in Hyderabad. We had a mix of vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and the food choices for both veg and non-veg were excellent. The default spice levels were just right for all of us, but they can make the plates more or less spicy on request as well. We began with soups. Both Mutton Marag and Tomato Dhaniya Shorba were excellent. Its great to see a traditional Hyderabadi soup like Marag prepared so well and served in a BBQ place. We took second helpings of both the soups. In addition, they were also serving mutton haleem which was also very smooth and tasty. This was our first experience with lava stone based grill. Aside from the different aesthetic, I felt that the lava stone keeps the moisture in the chicken/mutton/fish/mushroom pieces much better, making them softer and moist. The tendency of drying out or excess charring is also much reduced, so we can eat slowly without having to take them out quickly from the usual sheekhs. For both the stones and the sheeks, the standouts were the lava stone chicken, the mushroom, the pineapple (must try...taste and excellent pallet cleanser), Chicken Tangdi and Mutton Sheekh.
We were almost full, so tried the main courses sparingly. But whatever we tasted, were excellent. They prepared the crab curry , which I took with the pulao. It was excellent. The crab curry was especially good. On the veg side, the paneer and the bhindi fry are highly recommended. The desert section was also very good according to my companions (not a desert person), especially the shahi tukda. The paan icecream was a standout, bettter than most other places, as the icecream was very well infused with the paan flavor. In the mocktails section, the pitcher option (serves 4 at once), I liked. We took the spiced Aam Pana (green mango nectar)+Kiwi mocktail. It was very well made and served as a good digestive as well. Finally, they provided a complementary chocolate cake and guava mocktail for the birthday celebration in their special birthday section. The experience and service were five stars.
For the food quality and the service, the price is very reasonable (weekday night prices may be bit on the lower side). It was around 1150 for non-veg, 1050 for veg and mocktails were extra (1 pitcher 500). They also have good tie ins with dineout and other apps for prebooking and discounts that can result in good amount of savings.
Special thanks to all members of the serving team to make the birthday celebration...
Read moreRecently, visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch. There was some waiting initially due to large crowd. Once we got the seat, all was set and the ambience was pretty good. On top of that the live music (by some person) was amazing as the person's music (guitar) & singing were fabulous. It was a pleasant experience to have a fine dining in a good ambience with a live music. Service by the whole staff was good. Hosting by Sanju was really good. He was very prompt in serving us and attending to our concerns
Coming to food, I went with non-veg and the staters were really good. They served in total (including barbeque & non-barbeque) like 4 types of chicken, 2 types of prawns, 1 fish & 1 mutton sheek kebab starters. In veg starters, I tried crispy corn and few normal ones, they are also good. French fries were a bit salty, probably that could be adjusted by asking the chef to reduce the salt. They had only 2 soup options, one for veg & one for non-veg. Mutton soup was awesome with big chunk of mutton pieces inside it. Main course was regular with biryani and gravy and I didn't bother to try much in main course as my main target was desserts 😂. There was chuski for kids with different flavours. I tried kala katta & mango and I was into my childhood memories for a while.
For desserts, I had high expectations but those were a bit let down. Gulab jam was really good, malpua & Jalebi were pretty average. There were other pastry types, jelly and all but those weren't tasty enough to me. They had 4-5 flavours of ice cream and pan ice-cream combined with gulab jam was really good. Brownie with vanilla was good too. Lastly, we were served with sweet pan by Sanju before leaving. Overall, it was a decent experience and I had a good feeling in my mind and tummy after coming home.
Suggestion to restaurant: Please improve the taste of desserts like malpua, jalebi and pastry items and if feasible please try to add a few more items. People visit buffets to try different starters and desserts which we don't or can't get at...
Read moreI've never had food this bad in a buffet when it's said the Buffet has great" quality food standards" They keep saying that we have The best quality of food ..I just didn't see how when there's so less variety of food since it's such a big buffet.
Few starters were ok the chicken and the barbecue taste was pretty good but their main courses is very bad being such a big buffet there are very unpopular and basic dishes The non veg is very basic when it comes to taste The kodi pulao was very dry and chicken wasn't juicy enough Couldn't find more than one curry in veg or non veg to say it's delicious These desserts especially the ice cream becomes lifesaver and the cakes/brownies are okay not extraordinary. The veg food was better than non veg at places The pizza and pasta Were recipe of a disaster , and they don't have much variety of it the Management needs to work on variety The pasta being the worst I've had , not cheesy not creamy The pizza wasn't even a pizza it looks like cheese attached to some sort of bread I couldn't take more than one bite and they clarify that it's a kid section..even if who doesn't eat pizza/pasta The pasta had no taste at all and the only response I got was more of coverup and dialogue French fries was normal and not cheesy or full of Flavours It's not even worth half the cost if Truth is spoken Absolutely disappointing experience and a nightmare What's surprising is that the main course has more of basic chinese items rather than delicious Gravy/curries.
The best thing is they never compromise on the price no matter what. The staff however was very helpful really good Coordination and they try to explain everything Madhu was very sweet to help and an angel , devoted caretaker and Special appreciation for the Chef taking feedback and being very sweet Appreciate when a chef is more concerned than the manager who wasn't much concerned about the feedback Very disappointed and Disheartening to see the management trying to give explanations for everything Not sure if I'll go...
