Bakingo Madhapur — Restaurant in Hyderabad

First time I have spend more time on choosing online cake delivery and I have chosen Bakingo as per mixed reviews and comments. But unless and until it happens with you, you cannot judge and trust it. So by trusting on Bakingo I have ordered Heart shaped Red velvet cake cost of RS.749/- with other things like Chocolate, flowers, balloons, etc which costs near about 1800 + specific time cost 150 extra so total it was Rs. 1950 + GST. I was ok with that. I had mentioned the time between 10-11pm after paying extra money. But first thing it delivered late after son many follow ups. Actually as per discussion with support team, it seems they have started preparation when I started following up with them. After so many follow ups it reached before 12AM (Thanks for that). The delivery person was saying sorry for late it was my fault and all. We said fine. But the main climax happened when the cake box gets opened in front of many people who gathered for birthday celebration. When we looked at at the cake we got shocked and everybody else too. It was written on the cake "Happy 2nd Anniversary" and that too a simple ordinary cake with funky black & blue cream. Ahh!! I have lost my temper but we had no choice to cut it. Thanks to other people who has already ordered another cake. At 12:30am we got call from the delivery person saying sorry, but we had already done with the cake cutting. I had connected with support team by sending birthday cake image but Bakingo support team has so much trust on delivery people as they refused saying it was not ours and you cannot find it on our website too. Then I said why the delivery person called for apologize to return the cake. After the investigation. Bakingo team agreed to apologise and accepted their fault. They offered to reimburse me RS. 200 on my account wallet or jar cake. Are you serious?? Is it worth saying it after clarification also? If it's your fault then you shouldn't wait for us to suggest you what could be done. You should arrange the same cake instead of asking me. Even they could send the same cake if it was undelivered at night because the name written on the cake and how could they remove the name and sell it to other people?? Is it?? Sorry but I am not going to use Bakingo and not even suggest to anyone you never know what could be the surprises waiting for you once ordered. You don't deserve half star either. Please don't play with the people and try to first improve the punctuality and then the trust. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent order #3557031, placed for my son Heyansh’s 3rd birthday.

I had clearly shared a reference image (attached below) of the cake I wanted, a jungle-themed cake with colorful animal toppers and the custom text topper: "Heyansh’s Big 3". Your representative confirmed everything via WhatsApp and call, assuring me the design would be matched at 90% using 2D sugar toppers.

However, what I received was completely different. The custom name and age topper was completely missing, despite repeated confirmations.

The toppers were plain and dull, unlike the colorful and detailed ones promised. The cake lacked freshness and had no appeal whatsoever compared to what was shown. Overall presentation was basic and disappointing, especially for a child's birthday centerpiece.

This was a very special occasion, and I trusted Bakingo based on your reputation. But instead, I received a cake that looked nothing like the approved design, with zero effort in customization.

This isn’t just a minor mistake, it’s false commitment and poor quality. I’ve attached proof and screenshots showing their confirmation. Extremely disappointing for such a reputed brand.

Had placed and order for 1kg cake for farewell with the theme of White Tiger and edible fondant brocoli on top. The bakery person on the original call CONFIRMED that they will make the edible brocoli with fondant and cake will be cream cake and ASSURED that they will make the cake just as shown in the picture I sent them, it was embarrassing and down right horrible when I received the cake where REAL brocoli were placed on top of the cake and there was just a White Tiger face done with white chocolate stuck in the front with small black swipes done around the cake. They didn't even call me and inform me that they LIED when they ASSURED that the cake will be made exactly how the picture was!! HORRIBLE! PATHETIC! When I contacted the customer care they cancelled my order & agreed for refund but wanted the cake to be sent back as if delivering a pathetic looking cake was not embarrassing enough! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Though I was charged EXTRA 150 rupees for fixed delivery I ONLY got the order after the selected time which made the celebration a horrible one!
