I recently visited Casbah, and unfortunately, my experience was not all that satisfactory. The evening I chose to go happened to be when a DJ event was planned, but it was canceled due to rain. Understandably, the absence of a crowd might have contributed to the lackluster atmosphere, but there were several other factors that left much to be desired.
Firstly, the ambiance of Casbah did not particularly appeal to me. It lacked the vibrant energy that I had anticipated, which may have been a result of the weather-related cancellation. Nevertheless, the overall atmosphere could use some improvement to create a more inviting and cozy setting.
The food, while decent, was disappointingly overpriced. The menu items and their taste and quantity did not quite justify their cost, leaving me somewhat unsatisfied with the value for money.
Another drawback was the choice of background music. It didn't seem well-curated and didn't add to the overall dining experience. Music can significantly impact the ambiance of a place, and in this case, it felt like a missed opportunity to enhance the mood.
Lastly, I ordered a mocktail called a Shirley Temple, but what I received could hardly be called by that name. It seemed to be a combination of sour and sweet syrups without the refreshing and distinct flavors I associate with a Shirley Temple. This was a letdown in terms of beverage quality.
I understand that my visit coincided with unfavorable weather conditions, which may have influenced some of these aspects negatively. Perhaps, on a different day with better weather and a more active crowd, Casbah might offer a more enjoyable experience. However, based on my recent visit, I was left with mixed feelings and a hope that they could make some improvements to their offerings, especially considering the...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Casbah, The Westin – Hitech City. It began on a very unhygienic note — the fork placed at my table was clearly used, which was both shocking and unacceptable for a reputed establishment.
Things only got worse from there. I ordered prawns, which were completely burnt. I’m unsure if that’s the intended preparation style, but the taste was overwhelmingly bitter and quite unpleasant — I couldn’t bring myself to eat it.
To make matters worse, the main course — a biryani — which I had ordered well over an hour and a half earlier, never arrived during the time I waited. For a high-end dining place, this level of delay and disregard is completely inexcusable.
Overall, this was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. From poor hygiene and food quality to dismal service, I wouldn’t recommend Casbah to anyone expecting a pleasant or professional...
Read moreDisappointing indeed. For a 5 star deluxe hotel with a roof top terrace restaurant on offer you would expect some level of quality. Went upstairs to find an open court terrace with some coffee tables scattered around in the middle section and all of the rest of the space with the remnants of a big wedding that had just taken place, no effort to make this a restaurant or any of the sort. Menu was average for what is meant to be a middle eastern cuisine, half of it mixed with more Indian dishes for good measure. The music was blasting out hard core Ibiza house, totally not suitable for the Casbah theme and certainly not suitable for the guest profile. Great shame as the rest of the hotel and restaurant experience has...
