I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prego, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything about this restaurant, from its inviting ambiance to its delectable cuisine, surpassed my expectations. Here's why I believe Prego deserves an excellent review.
Upon entering Prego, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel instantly welcomed. The restaurant's cozy and sophisticated atmosphere created a perfect setting for an evening of fine dining. The attention to detail in the elegant decor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating all contributed to a pleasant and relaxed dining environment.
Now, let's talk about the highlight of the evening: the food. Prego's menu offers a wide array of Italian dishes, and each one I tried was a true culinary masterpiece. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were expertly balanced, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chefs.
For appetizers, I indulged in the bruschetta al pomodoro and the calamari fritti. The bruschetta was a delightful blend of tomatoes, garlic, basil, and olive oil on perfectly toasted bread. The calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a zesty dipping sauce that added a delightful tang.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the classic spaghetti carbonara. The pasta was cooked to perfection and coated in a creamy, flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of richness. The combination of pancetta, parmesan cheese, and eggs resulted in a dish that was both comforting and indulgent.
To complement my meal, I selected a glass of their house red wine, which was expertly paired with the flavors of the dishes. The wine list at Prego is extensive, offering a wide range of options to suit any palate.
And of course, no Italian dining experience is complete without dessert. I couldn't resist trying the tiramisu, and it was simply heavenly. The layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and dusting of cocoa created a luscious and satisfying end to the meal.
Throughout the evening, the service at Prego was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that every need was met and that I felt well taken care of.
In conclusion, Prego is a restaurant that truly excels in every aspect. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the exceptional cuisine and top-notch service, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Prego is a must-visit destination for Italian food lovers. I wholeheartedly recommend it and can't wait to return for another unforgettable...

Stayed at the Westin Mindspace Hyderabad for 5 days as I was on business travel. The first thing that I did was to ensure that I call them and inform the reservations team about my requirement.
I would like to keep it simple and talk about the Pros and Cons of the property and stay:
Pro's - Fantastic ambiance Beautiful rooms The Bathroom and the Bathtub designed & decorated very modernly One of the best beds that you can sleep on / rest Courteous and accommodating staff Amazing spread of Buffet Neat Swimming pool The bar on the ground floor I could rant on about the good things that you need to stay here as they are really good.
Cons: Smoking Room - Given only on the 15th Floor which is sad as the management should make arrangements to have rooms on higher floors as well for smokers Airport Transfers - They have only Audis and Innovas if im correct and the standard charge is INR 3000 which i felt was a bit too high , there should be options to provide just an economy / com[pact cars as well as most business travellers would be single and this would just be a waste of money (Even though the company pays for it) The House keeping can improve - The room I occupied was probably just vacated by the previous person , when I checked in, there was absolutely no toiletries apart from One Soap bar that was kept. I observed that even the next day only the Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner was kept. you have to ask them for everything specifically , otherwise this is not looked into.
I have still given this a 5 rating as the overall experience is still wonderful if you ignore these small things. A must experience stay for sure and Im coming back to this hotel again hoping that my feedback has been taken seriously.
Stayed @ Westing from 30th Sep 14 to 4th Oct 14 in Room 1525
Room tip: Ask for rooms facing the pool and preferably on higher floors Date of stay: October 2018 Trip type:...
Read morePrego means 'welcome' in Italian. An anniversary warranted a special dinner on this auspicious occasion. After a few choices were discussed, Prego, known for its Italian and located at the Westin Hotel in Mindspace was the winner. Ambience As can be expected, given its five star rating as a hotel, the restaurant too did not disappoint. Located on the lower level, the restaurant greets you with an array of wine bottles from different ages and varied locations. As you enter the dining area, you can visually see the kitchen and all it has to offer with the chef's keeping quite busy. Further down the dining we observed what seemed like a patio with a group enjoying their dinner. Above the kitchen were some slogans in Italian to give you an authentic vibe and one translation suggested "To have a stranger over for a meal is to find a new friend". Service Not sure if their service is usually slow, but in our case we were cozily tucked away enough that it became hard to catch the waiters when needed. This resulted in a longer than usual wait time, which was fine for a casual dinner but could be improved. Even the frequency of seeing staff walk by might have helped our experience in this regard. The courteous bit they did offer was a cold tiramisu when we mentioned the occassion for which we were there. We give them credit as it is the thought that counts. Food We ordered a fried starter of cheese which tasted quite nice. We added a couple of Pizzas for the family to share which were good, but could have been more Neapolitan for that authentic Italian experience. The tagliatelle Neopolitan was well prepared and I liked that it was available with chicken! The stand out dish for us though had to be the mushroom risotto. From experience and discussions with Italian friends, it is hard to get the risotto just right as the rice either gets overcooked or undercooked within just a few minutes while cooking. So only a professional can usually get it spot on and kudos to them for this! Overall, a good experience with appropriate rates. It could have been better for sure to get closer to Italian authenticity, but still a nice place for the odd occasion. Birthdays,...
