Food was overall pretty good.
The mushroom soup was a great start to the meal, packed with great flavour and texture. However, it would've been more enjoyable if the mushroom pieces were bigger so the consumer can get some added texture.
Next, I moved on to the cheese garlic bread. The bread by itself was wonderful, however the cheese was very overwhelming to the point where I couldn't feel the bread. Texture was a downer but the flavour was commendable.
If you're looking for something a little tangy and spicy in a pizza, the Sicilian pizza (the waiter's reccomendation) is a good pizza to try. The base was easy to bite through and had great texture. The only problem I faced with this pizza was the large volume of toppings. If the toppings were spread thinly, the pizza would've been perfect. I paired the pizza with a generous plate of penne and mixed sauce (I cannot remember the name because it is Italian, but I'm certain that all the sauces maintain the same bar)
Finally I ended the meal with an explosion. Quite literally. An item named 'The Bomb' caught my attention in the menu and I decided to give it a try. My curiosity paid off. It was a delicious combination of chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream which quite frankly exploded in my mouth. A wonderful end to a meal.
The pizza and pasta were recommended by the waiter, which brings me to the competence of the staff because the menu is a little confusing for anyone who doesn't understand Italian.
I would certainly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try Italian food, despite being a little expensive, because the items look beyond pastas and pizzas. They offer other Italian delicacies such as risotto, gnocchi and pan-seared...
Read moreFirst off, this place is not on the road. On the street too, it does not have a lot of front space, so one can easily miss the joint. But when you finally find it, the good things start, the ambiance, the food, the service.
As we reached, bottled water was provided without asking. They denied to provide regular water, a major turn-off. Order taking was smooth. Service was good. It took ~20 min till food started arriving.
Zappalicious, eye of the tiger, mojito and cold coffee were good, fruit punch, not so much. Casa pizza was super-thin crust, woodfire with a generous amount of cheese. Insalata Pomodoro had good amount of fresh basil. It was served with toasts. Funghi ripieni di verdure was tasting like baby potato. Lasagna Napoletana was creamy and bland. Arrabbiata pasta was saucy infused with the perfect amount of red chilies.
The dessert menu is limited here: only 5 items. Out of which 2 genuine Italian desserts, tiramisu and panna cotta were unavailable. Cheesecake, chocolava cake and brownie were available. I tried chocolava cake and brownie. Both were very sweet and subpar.
I would recommend this place, but bring your own water (if you want to save ₹50+tax) and do not...
Read moreWe ordered 3 chicken burgers and 4 vanilla brownies, but they have gotten us 4 chicken burgers and 6 vanilla brownies. They got more items to increase the bill amount and in return, were blaming it on us that we ordered more than required without realizing, almost created a rift between our frnds.
Me and my frnd wanted to share the vanilla brownie desert thing, the waiter got a cup of hot sauce or steamed water something, I TOLD HIM NO. He kept on insisted that it will be good, I was like ok just put it there. He didn't even ask me and pour in into the desert, then the cringe smile "try it out". I BURNT MY FINGER (took 2 days to become normal), it was very hot, I didn't want to eat it like that.
My frnd used the washroom (he'd got OCD fyi), the flush was not working and he was supposed to use a bucket. The washrooms were disgusting. Even when I went to wash hands, the tap was leaking.
Overall, food is ok but hated the service and facilities in...
