This rating is only for the subpar food that was served as part of the lunch buffet today. Let me break it down... Soup : Tom yum soup - I never had a soup that was so oily before....if one could separate the oil from the soup, it could fill up a bottle... Starters : Not sure if they'd served such unappealing starters on purpose...Today, we had Galouti kebab, chicken fry and fish fry...Sadly none of them tasted right, in fact the first batch of Galouti kebab tasted funny...it felt like it was beginning to get stale...more like it was re-worked...fish was no good... Salads : They should fire the Pantry chef immediately, I mean seriously, how unimaginatively lazy one must be to serve 2 different types of Lettuce (Romaine, iceberg) as 2 kinds of Salads...Matlab kuch bhi...there was one Shrimp salad, one shawarma chicken which did not taste good either Main course : They served Chicken kodi pulao, some fish curry and some other chicken or mutton curry...by this time...I'd lost all interest...Soup and starters sure did kill my appetite...nothing tasted good today... Desserts : I was really hoping and praying that desserts would save the day for me...the spread was good with different several dessert pastries and I had tasted all of them....oh god !...how do I describe...ever felt the outrage after biting in to a good looking pastry where the bread felt dry and old...this was the case with every pastry...I mean, even the Indian sweets on offer were so ordinary ...frankly...there are several restaurants that offer better food at half the price... Final verdict : Total disappointment !...This was my 3rd visit to 'Golkonda Pavillion'...and it was very disappointing....I don't trust them that they'll improve on their food quality or taste for their weekday lunch buffet...I'd rather go to ITC Kakatiya which still maintains highest...
Read moreWent here for dinner with my cousins. Loved the ambience above anything, the glass interiors and lighting and everything was just so flashy. You might as well get blinded on some occasions 🤣 Now coming to the food, we ordered: Korean Rice Bowl Cheese Bacon Pasta with Garlic Bread Kasundi Prawns Tiramisu Cake Chivas Regal 60 ml on The Rocks 2 types of cocktails whose names I can't recollect
The drinks were pretty good, with the vibe and light Bengali music to celebrate Poila Baishakh, it hit nicely. The bacon pasta was good, nicely cooked, very balanced in taste and with the garlic bread complimented each other very well. Korean rice bowl could've been better. The Chicken nuggets with that and Kimchi and Poach went really well together. The sticky rice also had a pleasant flavour and overall gave a very calming and soothing touch to the mouth. But it felt a bit too bland at times. I expected better from the Kasundi Prawns. The mustard flavour was there but quite faint. Plus the quantity was pretty disappointing. Given the price and simplicity of this dish, we expected much better quantity for three people. Tiramisu cake was probably the best. of the lot. Very fresh coffee flavour to go with it and highly creamy and smooth. It was very easy on the mouth and had a very calming effect on me. Service felt very much on the slower side. The rush was not so great either and with quite a big workforce, we expected a bit more promptness in the delivery of the dishes and the billing procedure.
Good place to visit once in a while. Tbh it's not very extraordinary but just visit here once for...
Read moreI recently stayed at ITC Kohenur and had the pleasure of having breakfast at Golkonda Pavilion restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by your staff and made to feel welcome.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The decor was tastefully done and added to the overall charm of the place with peppy music.
Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, always making sure that I had everything I needed and checking in to see if I was enjoying my meal. I would like to give a shout out to Bishal, Saurabh and Saurabh. The service was impeccable, with a genuine warmth and friendliness that made me feel like a valued guest.
Real highlight of my breakfast experience was the food and hospitality. Every dish I tried was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the Dosa and the Pav bhaji. It was evident that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into every dish, using only the freshest ingredients and paying attention to every detail.
