Hotel Sweekar is such a great place to hang out and have a cup of tea and spend sometime. The hotel serves only vegetarian dishes and they are fabulous and one cannot say no to this statement. Mornings at this hotel are quite awesome while you ravish those morning breakfast menu. The restaurant serves both north indian and south so you can expect a variety of dishes. The Idly, wada combination is simply amazing. You definitely would love Sweekar's Tea and coffee they are made with such finesse and tastes like heaven. The south Indian thali is not that great though, you should instead order Vegetable Biryani and Lemon rice. But over all the hotel has best quality food and service and they have an AC section too. I have been going to this place since ten to twelve years and there's no change in quality and taste. Keep it up sweekar. And if you get time meet the pan shop kaka, he has lot of stories and proverbs at his disposable. And you can order tea outside and have a chat. Great...
Read moreVisited with my family, the first thing that strikes you is the excellent location, just opposite to Bigbazar, Kacheguda. Parking is tough for two wheelers (might because of weekend) and no car park. Once you enter you have a nice feeling, its small and cozy place, they have two sections one is A/c. It was full when we went, it took around 10 mins to get a seating. Overall restaurant looked very clean. Menu is vast, dishes ranging from breakfast to dinner. We ordered masala papad, paneer kadai, butter rotis and sambar rice. The curry was simple not too spicy, butter rotis (seemed to be of wheat) and sambar rice was also good, tomato pickle given with the sambar rice was yummy. I would say the taste and quantity both were good. Their veg biryani seemed to be in demand. The prices I think are on a higher side. The service was fast and good overall. They seemed to be customer friendly. The wash room is very small, clean but not upto the mark. Our overall experience...
Read moreI have heard a lot about this place, and I must tell you that the food taste & quality lived up to the hype.
The place is hidden behind trees, so it's not easy to find when you are driving. I drove past the Hotel and had to take a U-turn, and then found the place.
The dosa that you get here is the same that you get in Bangalore. The owner of this place has a connection with Bangalore hence the taste. Unlike the dosa that you get at any other restaurant in Hyderabad, the dosa here is a bit thicker. It's crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Yummm!
The size, shape and colour of the poori are consistent.
Kurma, chutney & sambar served with the tiffins go well with the dishes.
Coffee needs improvement. A bit stronger and more froth would make it taste like a real filter coffee
Overall it's an excellent join for tiffins. I would recommend Sweekar compared to any other famous joints like Chutneys or...
