I am astonished how these guys manage to have 4.8 google review rating. We ordered some classic Punjabi dishes: Garlic Butter Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani,Lassi. 1)Dal Makhani: We were unable to even put it in mouth. It was excessively salty and tasted like mixed with some pickle type masala. Complete failure of chef. We had to leave the whole dish on the table and when the waiter asked us whether to pack it, we politely refused and told him this is not eatable.
The Paneer Butter Masala: We had to take out the six pieces of Paneer( which tasted raw) from the masala. Complete failure of Chef.
The Garlic Butter Naan and the Tandoori roti below average. Punjabis make it using Atta not Maida.
4)The Lassi was below average.
Sabj Miloni: Average taste, I won't comment on it because it is not a Punjabi Dish so they get their benefit of doubt.
Malai Brocolli: Below average. Chef had no sense of cooking time of Brocolli, overcooked mushy brocollis.... But not a Punjabi dish so OK.
We went for Lunch at 2.30pm, weekdays. The restaurant was empty, only one table was occupied, which explains the standards of the restaurant. The food took a good 30 minutes to be served.
The table attendant was dumb enough to take orders and serve. He kept entering wrong dishes repeatedly. Even while serving he kept saying wrong names confusing us whether that was our order. We had ask for cutlery and glass, he had no sense to set up table and never came with a finger bowl, though we were the only table occupied at that time, we used the washroom to clean hands.
The experience was so bad that I wanted to enquire about the Chef, the manager came, I understood from him the kitchen staff had no Punjabi which explains the weird experience. They have some 15 branches and the main Chef visits here once in a month or two, which may be forcing them to keep substandard untrained Chef.
Conclusion: I feel pity for the investors, who have rented a place in a prominent location, spending good amount for a decent amenities. With this kind of Chef and Staff I am sure they will close shop soon unless they check their quality and monitor their staff. Time to work on serious overhauling.
IF YOU HAVE READ THE REVIEW SO FAR, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.....IT IS BETTER TO STAY HUNGRY FOR FEW HOURS MORE.... FASTING IS GOOD FOR HEALTH, đ...... GO ONLY IF THERE IS NO OPTION AND YOU ARE GOING TO DIE OF HUNGER...
