Not a 4-Star Experience – Disappointing Maintenance Despite Good Staff.
I recently stayed at the Peerless Hotel in Hyderabad, India, and while there were a few positives worth mentioning, the overall experience fell far short of what one expects from a 4-star rated property.
To start on a positive note, the staff—especially housekeeping—were courteous, responsive, and clearly doing their best within the limitations of the resources provided to them. The buffet breakfast was also enjoyable, with a good variety of dishes and attentive service.
However, beyond that, the stay was disappointing. The furnishings in the room are outdated, with visibly sunken and worn-out chair upholstery, flooring that has clearly seen better days, and bathroom fixtures marred by lime scale and unfinished fittings. The basin was soiled, and the shower area walls had visible soap scum buildup. These are not small oversights—they reflect a lack of maintenance and attention to detail.
Although the bed was reasonably comfortable, the linen provided was of extremely low thread count. The fitted sheet was so thin it was practically transparent, exposing the mattress underneath. Basic amenities expected in a 4-star hotel—such as a small refrigerator and an in-room safe—were noticeably absent. Even the air conditioning unit, despite being set at 25°C, made the room uncomfortably cold with no effective way to adjust it.
What’s most concerning is the apparent indifference of the hotel’s ownership or management. Despite maintaining high occupancy levels, there seems to be little effort to meet the standards that a 4-star classification demands. The attitude appears to be: as long as the rooms are filled, guest comfort and upkeep are secondary.
In conclusion, while the staff and breakfast were commendable, the Peerless Hotel lacks the quality, upkeep, and amenities necessary to justify its 4-star rating. A re-evaluation of its classification—and, more importantly, its commitment to guest experience—is...
Read moreI am glad that we picked Peerless Inn for our Family get together on 7th July . It was hosted in Ruby hall on the 5th floor of the property. The hall was perfect setup for our 32 strong close knit group with enough space for laying out a sumptuous veg buffet and still space for the kiddos to run around. Chef Sanjay Sahoo and team took care of the most important aspect - Food . They had curated the menu as per our South Indian veg palate and it was hit with both the young and old. We felt good hearing the compliments for the food. Kudos to the team. Sunny our decorator , gave us a classy yet minimalist decoration which was perfect for the occasion. The caricature artist that he got along had our folks in splits with his art . You can reach out to him at for any ... Last but not the least we can't thank Mr.Debjit, who was the face of Peerless Inn for us. From the moment we reached there to check out the property, discuss the menu , and finalize everything he was with us and was our Yes Man . To be honest , we had asked for couple of things which were not part of the regular menu (like Corn Masala Vada) and for that and other things too , Debjith always responded with a Yes . He made us feel at home and it didn't feel like we were talking to a 4 star corporate hotel which generally revolves around a certain set of rules in F&B and other areas. Felt more like us having a discussion with a friend who was helping us with the program. This is a huge shout out to Debjith for not following the playbook(which is the norm now) and to just go by the first rule of hospitality industry in our country - Athithi Devo Bhava . Peerless Inn team- People like Debjit ensure that the word of mouth spreads positively and you get repeat clients so par yourself on the back for having someone like him in the team...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at Pavilion The Peerless Inn , and I must say it was one of the most disappointing experiences in recent times. From start to finish, everything went wrong, leaving me feeling utterly dissatisfied.
The service, it was abysmal at best. The staff seemed completely disinterested and lacked basic knowledge about the menu. It took an eternity to get their attention and place an order. Moreover, when the food finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen staff had no idea what they were doing.
The food itself was a disaster. I ordered the supposed "butter naan" of the restaurant, and it was an absolute letdown. The presentation was haphazard, with sloppily arranged ingredients and a complete lack of attention to detail. The taste was equally disappointing, with bland and under-seasoned flavors.
To make matters worse, when I politely brought my concerns to the attention of the server, they responded with indifference and brushed off my complaints. They made no effort to rectify the situation or offer an apology for the dismal dining experience.
Considering the exorbitant prices charged at this establishment, one would expect at least a modicum of quality and professionalism. However, I left feeling unsatisfied. The lack of care put into every aspect of this restaurant is truly unforgivable.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting Pavilion The Peerless Inn . The combination of terrible service, and subpar food make it a prime example of what a restaurant should not be. Save yourself the disappointment and find a better dining...
