My recent online order from Maya Bazaar through Swiggy was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. I had ordered their Prawns Biryani and Chicken Fry Piece Biryani, hoping for a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, what I received was far from satisfying.
Let's begin with the Prawns Biryani, which left me in shock and disbelief. To my surprise, the restaurant decided to use dried prawns instead of fresh prawns in their biryani. This decision was baffling and entirely unconventional for a dish like biryani. Dried prawns have a strong and overpowering aroma, which severely affected the overall taste of the biryani. The dish turned out to be overly smelly and unappetizing, leaving me with a regretful choice.
Furthermore, the inclusion of dried prawns introduced a strange and undesirable texture to the Prawns Biryani. Biting into these chewy and hard pieces disrupted the harmony of the dish, making it an unpleasant culinary experience. I struggled to comprehend the reasoning behind using such an unconventional ingredient, which did not complement the traditional biryani flavors at all.
Moving on to the Chicken Fry Piece Biryani, my frustration continued with the misleading name of the dish. Instead of the expected boneless or well-cooked chicken pieces, the biryani was filled with chicken curry. It was evident that the name "Fry Piece Chicken Biryani" did not align with the actual contents of the dish. This false representation was disappointing, and I felt cheated as a customer.
To add to my displeasure, the response from Swiggy's customer service only aggravated the situation. Their justification that the restaurant follows "standardised methods of preparing food" was unacceptable. It raised questions about the legitimacy of these so-called standards and who is responsible for ensuring the quality of food served to customers. The lack of accountability and responsibility is concerning, and it only deepens the disappointment in this entire experience.
In conclusion, my online order experience from Maya Bazaar was an utter letdown. The use of dried prawns in the Prawns Biryani and the misleading name of the Chicken Fry Piece Biryani were major letdowns. The customer service response from Swiggy only added to the frustration. I hope that both the restaurant and Swiggy take customer feedback seriously and work towards maintaining higher quality standards and transparency in their offerings. As a customer, I expected a pleasant and satisfying experience, but instead, I received nothing but...

Highly recommended for its perfect blend of flavors and texture. Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience, and I can't wait to revisit for more...
Read moreI recently visited a restaurant for lunch on a Friday and was surprised to find it relatively empty. Nevertheless, I ordered the chicken lollipop and prawn fry and was pleased to find that the food was quite tasty.
However, I couldn't help but notice that the masalas in the dishes were a bit on the higher side. While this didn't completely detract from the flavor of the food, it was definitely noticeable.
Overall, I think the restaurant has potential but the vibe and atmosphere could be better, especially in the evenings. Despite the slight issue with the masalas, I still enjoyed my meal and would recommend this place if you're looking for some...
