Ohri’s eatmor @Ohri’s Banjara, Banjara Hills, road no.12
Ambiance: This place is very spacious, clean, great decor with natural lighting which provides you a soothing ambiance.
Time for Drinks: Lemonades: Peach, blackcurrant & Guava: The most refreshing drinks. My personal favourite was Guava. One of the best lemonades I have tried.
Cookie Monster: A perfect thick shake which was so delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.
Strawberry Caramel Explosion: I’m not found of strawberry and caramel but this shake was really good. And obviously presentation was on point.
Cold coffee: If you’re a coffee fan then you must try their cold coffee which is really tasty and refreshing.
Belgium chocolate, Mango and Pista: All three were really good.
Ohri’s Nachos: In house nachos which were very crispy topped with salsa and cheese and served with two dips, Salsa and a sour cream. Must try.
Malabar Chicken pizza: This was my favourite of all. The base of the pizza was not bread based or thin crust but it was of a Malabar paratha which was really amazing, topped with chicken, green chillies, curry leaves and cheese loaded. Do try it.
Amritsari videshi fish fingers and London fish n chips: Fish coated in breadcrumbs and perfectly cooked served with French fries and a mayo dip. The taste was really good.
Slider truck: Veg(Shakarkand Galauti) This dish was served in a toy truck which has mini buns and the filling was shalarkand galuti which is made out of potato with no chutnies. It was a bit dry. Like a small tikki in a bun. Can be improved in terms of taste. (Much better than a non-veg one) Non-veg (Chicken Galauti) Same as the veg ones but the filling was of chicken Galauti which was minced.
Bunny chow: This was new a dish I had. Paneer butter masala: Baked buns, inside crumbled paneer butter masala with gooey layer of cheese served with fresh fries which was really delicious and beautifully presented.
Chicken tikka masala: Same as the veg but the filling was of loaded chicken and cheese served with fresh fries which was again delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.
Kheema pavs: Paneer Burji masala: The Paneer was crumbled with capsicum and tomatoes towards a Burji masala which was spicy and served with butter sauted pav and salad. Kheema (lamb): Kheema which was really delicious and spicy, served with butter sauted pav and salad.
Desi Stroganoff: Paneer butter masala: Creamy paneer gravy served with basmati rice which has cumin seed sautéed in butter along with salad and papad. Taste was really good.
Chicken tikka masala: Creamy chicken gravy served with the same basmati rice which has cumin seed sautéed in butter along with salad and papad. Taste was really amazing. (Must try)
Now it’s time for some desserts:
Titanic: As it goes by the name huge. It was like a mountain. Yeah that’s right. The titanic which consists of 7-8 slices of different flavours of ice-cream topped with chocolate & strawberry syrup, tutti-frutti and wafers. The presentation was lit.
Tiramisu: This classic tiramisu is made authentically in the Italian way flavoured in coffee and served in a glass. The presentation was good and it was great in taste too.
Overall my experience at Ohri’s was amazing. This place never disappoints me. This place is really good for...
Read moreThis restaurant is present in a very posh location of Banjara Hills. I went to this restaurant along with two of my friends on 31st December 2017 for non-veg buffet dinner. Let me tell you one thing. If you are a fan of ABs or Barbeque Nation, then most chances are you are going to be disappointed. Because I am disappointed from the service and quality of buffet. Let me explain this in detail. For non-veg buffet, they are offering 3 nonveg starter and 3 veg starter along with main course and dessert item. I felt the spread of buffet was very limited and more items could be included in the buffet menu. There is no live grill option for buffet menu. Also none of my friend liked the quality of the food. It was cold and also lacked taste we were looking for. Hardly one or two item I liked from the whole spread. By the end I was so frustrated that I didn't even go for the dessert items. I am from Odisha and I understood that many of waiters serving there are from Odisha too from their language. While serving, I found them using bad words to communicate within themselves which I felt was not at all appropriate. It was a little awkward for all three of us where the rest two of us were girls. The guy who was serving juice and milkshakes was more involved in personal talking with his colleague rather than serving the food. Each time he asked me what I needed and then somehow he started the conversation with colleague and got busy. After three times of asking, he got me the juice I was asking for. Compared to quality of food and service (It was a completely self service buffet), I felt the price they charged was not justified. They charged around 750/- per head but I didn't feel like it was quite apt to charge this amount for what they are offering in there menu.
This is my experience at Ohri's Eatmor. Though starter section was not so good, main course was okay. I tried biriyani with one chicken item, and found the taste to be average. I did not go for desserts as one of my friend who took some dessert advised me that they are...
Read moreFirstly, I'd like to make it clear that I went here with low expectations and I didn't know what to expect. But, boy!!! was I surprised! It is absolutely safe to say that this place has been, by far, the best midnight buffet I had in Hyderabad...
This place has it all. Good number of varieties in each section like starters, soups, staples, curries, live counter items, sweets and desserts. Despite offering so much variety at a very competitive price, every section of the buffet was a master class in its own right. I'm a vegetarian but my colleagues, with whom I came to this place, also seem to have a similar opinion.
The best item I had was the Veg. Biryani! It was by far the best i have ever tasted and it was so good that even my non-vegetarian friends found it amazing! Every item served was tasty and they had such wide range of options for dessert which made it even more special. I have been to other places that offered midnight buffet like Hotel Greenpark, ITC Kakatiya etc., but my experience here at Ohri's Eatmor was THE BEST. All this for around 600 bucks, makes it too good to be true actually!
The only drawback was that since we had booked through Dineout, we availed an offer that gave us all the above for 548 INR all inclusive. However, the manager said that we needed to show him the message from Dineout at the beginning itself, and since he generated the bill at normal price of 618 INR, we had to pay that amount only and he can't do anything.
We had to make the manager understand what's going on but he wouldn't listen. His name is Harish and he was talking rude as well. We then finally put our foot down and once he realized we wouldn't budge, he then got us the modified bill that accommodated the Dineout price. So if you book via a 3rd party site, please ensure you make it absolutely clear with the manager at the beginning of your meal itself to avoid these kind of situations.
Apart from this experience, the food is worth every penny you pay. Go for it and you will...
