❌ ACT Fibernet – A Case of Misleading Speeds and Consumer Betrayal (T ID - *47844)
I’ve been a loyal customer since the days ACT operated as Beam Telecom. Back then, service felt transparent and trustworthy. Fast forward to November 2024, I paid upfront for a 500 Mbps annual plan, confident in the promise of high-speed fiber connectivity.
💥 What happened next was nothing short of shocking.
During installation, technicians showed speed tests hovering between 400–470 Mbps, which felt acceptable at the time. But recently, I noticed major drops in speed, averaging 230–270 Mbps. Concerned, I raised a support ticket. A technician visited and walked me through the infrastructure at our gated community—and this is where the real issue surfaced.
📦 ACT installs a speed control box at the community level, dividing bandwidth to individual flats. Shockingly, this box only supports 100 Mbps and 300 Mbps outlets. There is no infrastructure to deliver 500 Mbps speed, meaning I’ve been unknowingly paying for a service I was never provided. The technician admitted this openly.
This is not a minor service fault—it’s deliberate deception, bordering on fraud. From November till now, I’ve essentially paid for 500 Mbps and received a max of 300 Mbps. No communication, no warning, no apology.
📢 I am escalating this to the Consumer Court and will be urging my Housing Committee to terminate ACT’s presence from our premises entirely. Consumers deserve transparency—not inflated promises and technical half-truths.

As we are facing internet disruption since 27-08-2023 but we thought it's due to our recharge as it was about to end and we recharged it on 1-09-2023 but it was not due to recharge it was due to the issue between your company and one of the customer who is not switching on the switch. And I'm writing mails since 1-09-2023 but your company responding as it will be resolved within 3 days ,it's taking longer etc.. very cold response they're just delaying since 27-08-2023...I'm not understanding what the hell is wrong with this company you all are treating your customers as nothing, our recharge is getting wasted day by day no action from your staff,if I'm asking for refund they refunded RS 126 but...my question to you is why we recharged our network to use right... what's the meaning of refunding only Rs 126 .. your employees are very lazy and nobody is recieving our calls.. we want connection or refund our money will ..we are tolerating since 27th August...is this the way you all behave? Read moreAbsolutely the worst internet service I have ever experienced in my life. I recently shifted to Hyderabad and took a connection from ACT FIBERNET and honestly, it’s been a nightmare.
For the first 15–20 days, the internet worked fine and then suddenly it stopped during Ganpati celebrations. When I contacted customer care, they gave some ridiculous excuse saying that due to “government clearance,” the wires were disconnected and it will take 15 days to restore.
Well, it’s now been TWO MONTHS and still no internet. I’ve literally paid for something I cannot even use. The customer service is useless, they keep repeating the same line every time “It will be resolved in 24 hours” and nothing actually happens.
The technician team is the worst. One of them called me, asked for my location, and then just disappeared. Didn’t show up, didn’t take my calls later. What kind of unprofessional behaviour is this?
Because of their pathetic service, I’m forced to keep doing mobile data add-on recharges every few days spending extra money unnecessarily. It’s beyond frustrating.
If you are planning to take a connection from this company, PLEASE DON’T. Save your time, money, and peace of mind. This company doesn’t care about customers at all — once you pay, you’re on your own.
