Sherlock's - Lounge & Kitchen Hyderabad — Restaurant in Hyderabad

A couple of weeks ago i was at forum mall and this place just caught my eye, theres something inviting about the entrance. i've heard good things about sherlocks from other cities but i wanted to see for myself, so i went in with a few of my friends and the first thing you notice is this huge screen with great speakers. With a long and proper bar counter which set the ambience, the place felt so alive. We ordered jalapeno poppers, barbeque chicken wings and chicken tikka for startes. The jalapeno poppers were just little bombs of crunchy cheesy goodness and the chicken was juicy and flavorful in the wings and tikka. We also ordered a few tom collin's, cosmopolitan's, the cocktails were mixed perfectly with the right ratio of alcohol, tart and sweetness (which is quite rare). For main course we got an alfredo mushroom pasta and a chicken tikka wood fired pizza. The pasta was creamy and well cooked, The pizza was just amazing, the crust was crisp, flavorful, and chewy. The toppings worked together beautifully. The marinara and pesto were packed with flavor, and the mozarella had a great consistency.By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit. First of all, let me clarify that we went here for Lunch. Not drinks. Your experience may vary based on what you are looking for.

I have a general theory about Hyderabad that people here have an inaccurate feel for what is good food. Its usually a toss up when it comes to food and people's rating in my opinion. Flechazo is a great example where Google reviews told me food was great while we found it quiet the opposite.

If you are looking for food, look elsewhere. We came to the Forum Sujana Mall looking for Barcelo's, an amazing joint while it lasted. Since it was replaced by a Telugu restaurant, we decided to give Sherlock's a try.

On ordering Chicken steak, the waiter heard it as skewers. He later told us that there is no steak in the menu and we had to show him. 🤦‍♂️

The pizza was made with some mayo- cheese sauce..The soup was alright. The Chicken skewers were edible. I will leave it at that.

TLDR: Food is bad and service is not so great. If you want drinks, this place may work out. We didn't have any, so...

I personally like this kind of ambience in it, but hear me out when we go out with our family or friends it's really good place to hangout and when it comes to service it's ok CO-VID time it is and we cannot expect them to be as fast as in normal times and we've ordered 2 mojitos and one whiskey. Mojitos were pretty ok because there was less alcohol in it, we realized this one asked waiter he calls his owner and he came and asks us what's tge problem sir, we're like there is alcohol in it? He's like yes sir there's no point of no being alcohol in mojito and he literally told that it is not virgin mojito seriously guys when a person been to bar and asks for mojito can't he tell a difference between virgin or normal mojito atlast he got some alcohol in it and can't complain...
