During our recent visit to Southern Kitchen restaurant, we were pleased to discover that the food was quite satisfying overall. Our order consisted of various dishes including Kodi Kura Chitti Gaare, phulka, and paneer cury, as well as stuffed parathas, all of which had an excellent taste. Although Southern Kitchen is known for its spicy dishes, the staff was kind enough to prepare our meal with less spice upon our request.
The wadas in Chitti Gaare were crispy and tasteful, complemented by the delicious Kodi Kura with just the right amount of spice. The phulkas were small, thin, and soft, just the way they are prepared at home. Additionally, the paneer was served in small pieces and had a great taste. We also requested a stuffed paratha, which was prepared exceptionally well and delighted our taste buds. The food portion size was adequate, and we did not feel that it was less.
The staff at Southern Kitchen was very welcoming and showed remarkable hospitality. They were courteous and always available to assist us whenever required. Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant was delightful and made us feel at ease.
Our dining experience at Southern Kitchen was good, and we highly recommend it to others. However, we noticed a couple of points that could use some improvement. Firstly, we found the food to be a little oily, which may not be suitable for everyone's taste. Secondly, the price of the dishes seemed slightly higher than other similar restaurants in the area. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal and appreciated the overall...
Read moreWhat a worst place Southern Kitchen is. A totally overated, overpriced place. If they don’t serve thali’s I don’t think this place has anything to offer. I order mutton pulao they give it with over cooked rice and mutton pieces,I order curry they give a tasteless gravy which doesn’t go either with roti or rice. They disappointed me,my friends and my family members with their horrible food. I don’t understand what does the kitchen team and management do. They charge a premium to give you an experience of food worser than a road side food. I thought to write a review first time thought they might improve but it is 4th time and they have never worked on giving better customer experience. I order from a place which is 8km away spending 800 rupees on their food and they end up making regret doing that and have to reorder somewhere else. If you are extremely hungry and want to try their food I would recommend you to ignore this place or eat something else and try their food. You will have a bad day because of them for sure.
I would rate 0/5 for this place. Absolutely ridiculous. Neither the team is well managed nor the food is served well. They hardly have 20 tables and their team can’t even manage those well.
I will never visit this place again nor let anyone else visit this place again. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Read moreWent for lunch on Saturday with family hungry and craving for some good South food. Table was given to us promptly, post this everything went south.
Thali - I have had much tastier and better thalis in Raghavendra tiffin centers. The rice was over cooked and such inferior quality. The curries were bitter and had to beg them to bring sambhar that the rice cooled out and hands dried out.
Ragi sankati with pottela mamsam - Two dry and cold ragi mudhas served with 5 big bones of mutton with tasteless all purpose gravy.
Ulavacharu pulav - The chef just thought south cuisine is just all spice and no taste.
Asked for papads for toddler and had to wait for 30 min. Then when we finally lost cool the manager found that our papads were just laying in kitchen with the waiters not even bothering.
My wife tasted my thali and they were ready to charge us twice .. superb I was ok with them for that. The audacity as if they were doing us a favour by billing us for 1 thali.
On top of all this worst experience, our car which the valet parked on road was penalised with a traffic challan for improper parking.
Just wanted to get away from this restaurant at the end of the day. Teth masala and Full to Bring are much better...
