Aloo Paratha Ghee Karam Idly Lentil corriander soup Malai broccoli Millet Dosa Paneer kulcha Rava doaa
So the soup was okay, i was hoping for something thick lick with cream but this is a simple soup with basic spices like pepper, garlic etc ... served with a quarter of naan so okay
Aloo paratha was nice but was not so filling maybe some ghee would have been nice instead of a serving of curd...... the paneer Kulcha was stuffed with paneer that was a satisfying filling with the curd.
Ghee karam idly was nice ... a healthy thick serving of sambar ... lots of drumsticks and fillings, two decent size pieces of idly with spicy karam powder... there was a yelloe haldi powder given ... it felt more for contrast of colour but didnt add any flavour ie garnish. The chutney was really nice. The dosas were your average dosas with the same chutney and sambar as before. The millet dosa was underwelming as we expected a more traditionally one which is brown and not just a slightly bitter version of a normal dosa. Rava dosa was also slightly above average.
The malai brocxoli was recommended by the staff. IT WAS GOOD BUT SWEET. I was not expecting that ... overall nice and different ... the tamrind glaze came with it which added a contrast to the sweetness. I preferred the green corriander mint chutney instead.
Overall, nice service, great place but the food didnt give like a standing out factor than any other south indian restaurant. Food is served to be instagram worthy but flavours are best above average .... Ill return to try more definately .... and update my view with more options. Maybe a place to introduce a north indian friend who has never had south indian in a fancy ...

Read moreI am writing this review mainly about the manager at the restaurant. The way he treats customers is far from respectful, and he does not treat all customers equally. I have observed firsthand that he provides better service to high-class customers, while treating middle-class customers differently.
I urge the owners of the Tamarind Tree to consider dismissing him from his position so he can learn the true values of respect and customer service.
While the food is good. The manager’s behaviour is unacceptable. Speaking English with customers does not equate to providing excellent service. The ultimate goal should be to treat all customers with respect and serve them with...
