If you are in Jaipur, and craving for Indian food, you must come at this place.
I almost cancelled visit to this place, by seeing Bhojnalaya in it's name and thinking that it would not be good place to eat with my wife. But once we went there we saw that there is separate section where only family can sit (basically no men can sit there without any women with them) and there is separate area for all general customers to sit.
We immediately got the place, and ordered Kaju Curry, Chapati, Rice, Dal Tadka and aloo paratha, food came in under 5 mins. And the taste was AMAZING. You must try Kaju Curry, thick curry base (like paneer tikka) with lots of pieces of kaju in it. Chapati's were hot and fresh but my wife found it little thick, so didn't like much, but I liked it. Dal tadka and rice were equally good. Aloo paratha was also good.
Next day we went there again and tried Dal makhni as well. And it was one of the best dal makhni we ever had. You must try it. We also took butter Naan and tandoori roti, and it was one of the best butter naan that we ever had.
One thing you must keep in mind that they serve every dish as half or full quantity, there half quantity is more than enough for 2 people.
Also the place was decently neat and clean, and owner and staff all were humble and friendly. They even recognized me coming for second time and asked for feedback, which I gave positively.
This is not fancy restaurant but if you are looking for tasty Indian food in Jaipur, you must visit here.
We have decided whenever we will visit jaipur again, we won't...
Read moreShri Gopi Pavithr Bhojnalaya is one of the best places to enjoy simple, authentic, and homely food. The thali meals are served fresh and full of flavor, with a balanced mix of traditional dishes that feel like a true taste of home. The service is quick, and the staff is humble and attentive. It’s a great spot for daily meals, especially for those who prefer satvik or less oily food. However, one major issue is the parking. The area is quite congested, and finding a spot for your vehicle, especially a four-wheeler like a Ford, can be a real challenge. There’s no dedicated parking, so you might have to walk a bit after parking on nearby streets. Despite the parking issue, the food and overall experience make it worth the effort. If you’re in the area and craving clean, wholesome Indian food, Shri Gopi Pavithr Bhojnalaya is definitely...
Read moreOverrated. We ordered dal makhani and Shahi paneer. Both were avg at best. I am not sure why locals recommend this. I am from Delhi and have had better food from some dhabas than this. Both main course items had too much oil in it. Shahi paneer was sweet n sour (courtesy of uncooked tomatoes which were not compensated with appropriate ingredients to balance that tangy flavour). Dal makhani is supposed to have creamy texture and butter on top. We got standard dal like consistency with oil instead. This wasn't expected from a dhaba that is in middle of bustling market and having rapport of "must visit eatery". Overall I would rate it 2/5. Speed of packing the food was really fast (speed: 5/5). For anyone looking for a quick bite and short of time to find another joint can...
