The cafe is a newly built tourist attraction in Gulmarg. Being in a tourist area it is popular among the tourists. Is surely a decent place to visit. However few things to be noted. 1. Entry requires fee. Prices are not fixed, can be adjusted with the help of the guide who will accompany you. If you try to go by yourself, you may be charged hefty, but if guide purchases the tickets can be done within very less amount. 2. Seating places are ok ok. Understandable as all are ice, but few seats have water dripping over them from top hence select accordingly. Best seats are towards the railing. Tourists keep the covers dirty hence please check before sitting. I have seen people standing on the seats without caring that some other person may sit there. 3. Price is costly as it is a tourist spot, but can be worth a new experience. 4. Waiting time was too much for us. We ordered kahwa. They took more than 30 minutes to bring them. They prepare it from the hotel and then bring and prepare once a good number of orders are placed. Hence keep the waiting period in mind. 5. Place will remain crowded and please be careful kn the stairs as these are freezed ice hence will be slippery. Please wear good shoes with friction. Sneakers are risky. Over all a 4 out of 5 place. But the view outside in a snowy day is breathtaking. Worth it!!!

The World's Largest Igloo Cafe Opens In Gulmarg, Kashmir, With Snow Chairs And Ice Tables An igloo cafe named ‘Snowglu’ in Kashmir’s Gulmarg has become a new tourist attraction recently. The cafe has been set up at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg. Syed Wasim Shah, the creator of the igloo, claimed the structure to be the world's largest cafe of its kind The igloo café has two floors: the ground floor is for taking selfies and the top floor serves as a café with chairs and tables carved out of frozen blocks, covered with sheepskin rugs, and tourists served hot Kehwa and sandwiches. The last world record is from Switzerland in 2016, we have crossed that. This year we have applied for Guinness World Records, and hopefully the team will be visiting Gulmarg soon

Had a sandwich here.. Had to wait a little longer than expected and was very cold inside but its surely is a different experience... But very costly with entry of 200 and most of the items costing 350..even a normal kaewa /chai is 120-150. Not worth for money

The glass igloo cafes in Gulmarg, particularly those established by the Kolahoi Green Heights hotel, have become a significant tourist attraction, offering a unique dining experience. Here's a breakdown of what makes them special: Unique Concept: The idea, drawing inspiration from places like Finland, involves constructing igloo-shaped structures with glass walls, allowing diners to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding snow-covered landscape. This offers a novel alternative to traditional dining, especially in a snowy environment like Gulmarg. Visual Experience: The glass construction provides unobstructed views of the snowfall and the scenic beauty of Gulmarg, enhancing the dining experience. This provides a very memorable experince for those that visit. Location and Setting: These cafes are situated in Gulmarg, a popular winter destination known for its stunning snowscapes. They are located at locations such as at the Kolahoi Green Heights hotel, and also at phase one of the Gulmarg Gandola cable car project. Innovation: The introduction of glass igloos follows the success of earlier snow igloo cafes in Gulmarg, indicating a drive for innovation in tourist experiences. The transition from snow igloos to glass igloos, allows for a longer period of use, and more comfortable experience. Tourist Attraction: These cafes have become a major draw for tourists visiting Gulmarg, adding to the region's appeal as a winter destination. In essence, the glass igloo cafes in Gulmarg offer a combination of unique architecture, stunning views, and a memorable dining experience, making them a...

I wish i could review with a negative rating. This was a noisy and worthless place to spend time n money. The service was too bad. Not everything listed on the menu was available. Their staff dont know their own menu. Atleast the staff should understnd hindi or english. We had to explain them what pasta we need. Now the igloo thing which is overly hyped in the instagrm reels. Its jst plastic tent with basic plastic seating arrangment for which they charge 2k for 40 mins excluding any meal combo. But the order itself takes about half n hr to be served. Then the worst part we were asked to pay the bill as soon as our order was served. They didn’t even let us finish our food even though there was no waiting customers or any rush. Better to have food at maggie point. Then again they charge to use their own washroom. Plz dnt follow the misleading instagram reels. N for the self declared influencers, ur misleading info could ruin someone’s...
