Cheap & affordable place for having tea and snacks that too in heart of Lal Chowk. Amazing and historical place, I was blessed to visit it with my Grandfather who was an inspector and used to visit this place in his services days and it is still running. Last year in 2021 i along with my friends were the daily customers of Lala Sheikh and sons and to be honest it was worth it. But unfortunately they are loosing grip of the customers, the quality of the much hyped pathis has fell such low, one regular customer cannot expect even.

Had recently been there 3 times and experienced the same thing, futher the service and staff are not not upto that earlier mark.

All I can wish for is that they work and bring the old quality back...

I haven't talked/learn't about Kashmir politics and history anywhere more than at Lala Sheikh's restaurant. The place can always be seen occupied by some of the best minds in Kashmir, every table is ablaze with arguments and counter arguments while sipping at the brilliant tea that the place has been serving for over 100 years now.
