Le Delice — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

I've always loved this place whenever I get a chance to visit the city mall. Today was different, I reached there at approx 8:30 to buy a cake accompanied by a child and was in a hurry. Online transactions were closed as they were near closing time. We paid them in cash, which was more than the bill amount and they said we don't have change so we politely requested if they could arrange the change themselves and I dont know if the guy behind the counter " wearing a beautiful kani cap" had a bad day or what he got extremely rude and was like " Ek toh mai favour kar raha hu aapko closing time pe cake dekar aur aap blah blah " and the tone was very condescending. I did not want to leave the child alone and go search for change which I had to and behind my back they started talking rubbish about me infront of the child . At the end I found change from a random guy walking in the mall but I could not bring myself to buy the cake after such a rude experience.Maybe he had a bad day but I was going to a happy place with the cake to congratulate a couple and he ruined my day too. Too long of a review but yaah sometimes...

i’ve been here more times than i can count and every time, i leave reminded that hospitality is a craft. the food is consistently excellent. from their cupcakes to the chocolate rolls, the care is obvious. but it’s the people here, the staff who make the experience what it is.

in a space as busy as the mall around it, this place is quietly human. the staff is the kindest, most attentive and grounded group of people ever. they never make it seem like its their job to cater to you. they are kind in a way that makes you want to be kinder. they show up with intention. and it changes everything. you could ask me what to try. i’d have a few favorites. but honestly? just go. sit down. let them take care of you....

After all the hype about this place , we decided to visit it. It was disappointing as it was hot . They had AC units that didn't work ,no fans in the café as a result it was very uncomfortable to sit. We ordered cappuccino and hazel cappuccino , both of which we just warm n not hot. Strawberry cheese cake which had too much of Jam n over sweet. The opera Pastry too had some aftertaste, which quite didn't match to what I have had in many cities like Drhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore n Mumbai...for the Srinagar standards this must be one of the finest.
