I wrote the following review on their Facebook page on 22/05/2018, which was very conveniently hidden by their management team. Hence, I will take to the other platforms to express myself! Here’s that review:
Well, I do understand that as part of the F&B industry, you’d be encountering a lot of obstacles, in particular, hiring efficient personnel and it’s quite tormenting to satiate the needs of every guest. But at the end of it, that’s the task. The city has a huge vacuum in terms of posh eateries and Nox has been the frontrunner, justified to quite an extent. Yet, drastic improvements need to be made. Having written a review some 3 months back, I was assured by the restaurant manager(Sumit, I believe)that team Nox is working on their staff training, ardently. But a recent visit was a complete ordeal. I personally felt that the service quality had, as a matter of fact, declined massively. Before seating myself, I did inform their Captain(As the Manager was not at work that night)about the previous experience, but he cared two hoots and was quite lousy in his conduct. On this night as well, I left a review, but seems like it was too much of a hassle for anyone to respond. I’ll restrain myself from getting into the details of the instances on a platform such as this. But unfortunately, the thought of visiting Nox will somewhat fill me...
Read moreI went to this joint after hearing about it from relatives and friends. Was a tad disappointed on various fronts. Firstly, the website said live music on weekends. I went last weekend and all I got was recorded music. No live bands. Now the music was too loud too. It may be ok for some crass crowd, but one doesn't expect to shout on top of one's voice to be heard by the people accompanying. Secondly, the interior was basic in nature. If AC vents and pipes and fire extinguisher spray nozzles and such things are your style for a fine dining experience, you need to go out more often and to better places. Thirdly, the service was slower than a snail's pace. I could have dozed off if it wasn't for the blaring noise which was being passed off as music. Fourthly, the charges were exorbitant - more than what I've paid at fine dining 5-star hotel restaurants. Lastly, and most importantly, the food was just average. If you're idea of innovation is to mix any salad or chip with chicken, you need to take a hike. We ordered six different dishes - four non veg and two veg, and all of them barely passed muster. Overall, an unpleasant experience, best avoided. However, since Jammu has limited options, this place will mint money, but it doesn't deserve it. Go if you must, and if you have better taste and sense, you'll avoid...
Read moreMy recent visit to Nox Cafe has left me feeling utterly cheated. As a regular consumer of LIIT (Long Island Iced Tea), I was excited to order it once again at this establishment. However, what unfolded before me was nothing short of a disgrace.
When I requested the bartender to prepare the LIIT in front of me, I expected a display of skill and a commitment to quality. , . The ingredients used in my drink were of such poor quality that it is an insult to the name of LIIT.
Let's talk about the gin first ,It was nothing more than a lowest quality spirits available in the market. This gin, priced at a mere 100/quater, is typically reserved for labor workers who seek a cheap and quick way to get intoxicated. How dare Nox Cafe so low as to subject their customers to such an inferior choice of gin?
And as if the subpar gin wasn't enough, the vodka they used was equally poor . It didn't even have a label, an indication of its lack of authenticity and legitimacy. Clearly, Nox Cafe has standards about serving their customers a cheap, nameless drink that does nothing but spoiling the reputation of a classic cocktail
I request everybody who order LIIT or any other cocktail or drink please see the bartender when he is making...
