About food -
I had ordered Chicken Hydrabadi Biryani and Chicken Ghee Roast. On the sides I had Imli Adraki Lemonade and Burani Raita.
First of all, let me say it - Ghee roast was really good, a must have indeed.
Since the restaurant makes less spicy Hydrabadi Biryani, I told them to make it extra spicy, and that turned out be a blunder...the biryani was super spicy and hot. Before ordering I thought the imli adraki lemonade would be sweet but it was also spicy, the same goes for burani raita. In short, apart from water everything was spicy lol.
About pricing -
I found it quite expensive. Even though the quality of food is good but the portion they serve is less than expected and the price according to portion is way too high imo.
About ambience -
The restaurant is small, and by small I mean just 3 tables. Which is unexpected by the way they advertise their "brand". Cleanliness was good and they have tried to give a bit of mughal period touch to everything including the cutlery, with bronze glasses etc.
It may not be very pocket friendly but it serves delicious biryani in fact the veg hydrabadi biryani is also a must try, it is delish. All in all if you want to have decent...
Read moreI ordered from here for the first time today. I ordered kolkata chicken dum biryani along with phirni. Honestly, I have never had such delicious meal since long. Being a Bengali I have been searching for perfect biriyani in Ranchi, but didn't come across any until now. The best thing about the order, other than the taste, was its packaging - everything neatly packed and sealed in clay pots. It is so creative of the chain to provide with aanch to heat up the meal. It was just mind-blowing! We do have microwave at home, but heating it up in a traditional way with the aanch is something very awesome and thoughtful. Coming to the taste, the rice was not at all oily (a thing that I seek for everywhere, but get nowhere) , with a perfect texture. The chicken was perfectly boiled and juicy. The best thing is you can have 1/2 kg all by yourself without feeling heavy, unlike biriyani of other stores where u feel saturated after taking in two spoons . Phirni was just heavenly. The clay pot infact added to its taste. It was a bit overpriced. But considering the investment added to the clay pots and the thoughtful packaging, it is alright. Looking forward to ordering more...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Biryani By Kilo. I ordered biryani and was shocked to find that the chicken was rotten — it had a foul smell and was completely unfit for consumption. I immediately brought it to the staff’s attention, expecting a sincere apology and a quick resolution.
However, what made the situation worse was the behavior of the manager. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he was rude, dismissive, and refused to accept any responsibility for the quality of food served. His attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially when it comes to customer safety and food hygiene.
Serving spoiled food is a serious health hazard, and such careless service is not expected from a brand like Biryani By Kilo. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, improves their food quality control, and trains their staff to handle complaints with basic courtesy and...
