We were to drop off someone at airport so in conversation amongst ourselves, we missed to take photos.
Verdict: Qustion mark on quality check, below average service poor taste Not at all worth the Money they charge
Welcome drink - Mango Moito served with dirt in it. Out of 3 glasses, one glass was taken off just before serving as they realized just before serving. On enquiring, they dodge to answer it and said we will get you 3rd glass. However, one out of 2 glass of Mango moito served was containing black colored dirt particle. When enquiring, the service staff informed it was mint to which we asked why only one glass contains mint and not other one to which he was clueless and immeditely took away that glass and replace it with new one. Now, all New moito were served without so called mint.
For Jalebi and other sweets, we have to request and literally wait for spoons so as to get it served. It's not that I was expecting a personal assistance but I had to ask where is the serving soon. One attendant ask the other to get the serving spoon. They took some time to get the serving spoon. Jalebi maker and couple of more attendants were just standing idle. They did not pay attention that serving spoon for his own jalebi counter is missing.
In Dessert section, clear veg / non veg section was not made. One dish wasn't carrying a name plate so chef standing just behind it was requested to inform what is that dish name however he was clueless. He had to call his another colleague to tell him what that dish was, forget about aweful taste it had.
Ice creams were placed as if it was required to be hide from the guest. A person accompanying us was 5 feet in height and could not even notice actually ice cream was on the service platform, forget about checking flavour as it wasn't visible. No name plates for ice cream. No mention whether it is veg or contains egg. Ice cream Freezer door opening gave a feel that we were doing hand stretching exercise!
In main course, ordering an Indian bread and getting it served on plate was another item which tested our patience. Even serving roti became a task and left us to wonder about service level.
Veg starters were just an average in taste and vegetables were just okay.
Brand name of Taj is synonyms with the highest level of service standard and quality. But our experience was unsatisfactory.
Money that charged so exorbitant but it wasn't worth.
I will prefer to be in Marriot or Leela or would be okay to be at any uddipi hotel than...
Read more3 of us went on a drive to airport and decided to go this restaurant on Sunday 11th July 21. We went around 4.30 pm . We went to the lounge Cafe and waited and no one turned up and was wondering what's happening. Later on went to the check in counter to be told that lounge service is closed. We were told Cafe 77 east is the one offers coffee. As we entered there were no one and there were many staff and it tool more than 10 minutes fir us to be seated and the tables after the lunch was not cleaned. We were given table and a person came and kept water glass and he was not wearing gloves and next person came and kept cutlery he dropped the cutlery and not wearing gloves and he had some injury on back of the palm. We kept waiting and the staff which were there before all disappeared and we waited for more than 15 minutes and we thought we should leave. One person appeared and Apologized for the delay and we ordered one capucino, 2 orange juice and one frito ( zucchini, baby corn, potato, onion rings and cauliflower soaked in cornflower and deep fried) the order came as said in 15 minutes. The coffee was awesome but was not hot and the frito was tasty but soaking in the oil. I told the manager that coffee was cold , but I enjoying it after a long drive ( 50 kms from my home and the banaglore traffic despite being a Sunday and pandemic the road was full) . He brought another coffee piping hot I told him I can't justify 2 coffee and take it back , but he ( Stefan) was kind and good asked me to take .it was again a coffee with right blend and aroma I loved it though I could not justify it in full. Read moreThe worst dining experience ever at a Taj - not reflecting the elegance and attentiveness expected from the Taj group. On the contrary, this experience didn’t meet the “basic” standards of a star hotel. Here are a few observations: Empty dishes for over 45 minutes at the Buffet counter, despite bringing it to management attention (smoked salmon, pistachio mortadella etc. ) Empty desert platters (9:30pm- and the restaurant wasn’t even nearing closing time. I was hoping to eat caramel custard. This was also brought to the attention of the staff, and our request was treated as if we were asking for the impossible. When staff was informed, they smirked amongst each other…. and still nothing was done. Lacadaisical attitude from senior staff himself - he walked right through the restaurant holding a 2 litre Coke bottle by the neck and wasn’t open to feedback when I expressed disappointment.
