Hatti Kappi - Customer experience: I would like to relate my experience with Hatti Kappi -at the Kempegowda International Airport at Bangalore where I regularly stop on arrival to buy Hatti Kappi decotion sachets and also have a filter coffee- my standard drill! On the 13th April, I had landed at Bangalore from Delhi around 11.30am and I went to have a filter coffee at the Hatti Kappi stall outside the arrival terminal. I also purchased 18 Hatti Kappi decotion packets for Rs.900 but in a hurry to catch the bus , I left the packets at the stall! When I reached my destination at Bhaneghatta road, I discovered the lapse and frantically called Hatti Kappi customer care number which was advertised on the website which was not functional at all! I tried several other numbers indicated as customer care- but all were not functional! I finally sent an email to customer care and within 4 hrs I received a reply from Deepthi Mutyala of customer care and from then onwards I had an extraordinary pleasant experience in service recovery of the awesome kind! Deepthi was exceptional in coordinating with Hatti Kappi stores manager Nagesh at J P nagar ( close to Bannerghatta Road where I reside)who promptly provided 10 packets (worth Rs.500)of the decotion available as there was a shortage after that. Deepthi then contacted Clara at the airport and gave her instructions to make arrangements for the rest of the decotions to be made available (8 nos worth Rs.400) on my return flight on the 18th of April. Unfortunately the decotion packets were still in shortage so I settled for filter coffee powder worth that amount of pending money( Rs.400) and also a filter coffee at the airport. Clara was extraordinary in her prompt and pleasant service along with an ever smiling Aftab - fantastic service indeed! I would like to congratulate Deepthi Mutyala and her team- the efficient Clara and her ever smiling colleague Aftab in delivering a wonderful service recovery by way of getting me the rest of the Hatti Kappi accessories which I had left behind initially! Deepthi and Clara and Aftab are great assets to your organisation and I wish them all the very best in their careers- people extraordinaire indeed!! PS. A small note of gentle advise- not meaning to be rude or so- the gentle man Uday Kumar who serves filter coffee at the Hatti Kappi counter outside the Bangalore airport arrival terminus- has always a grim , indifferent, can’t-be-bothered -angry look on his face!It would be great if he can be told to have a smile on his face and that would go a long way in enhancing a beautiful customer experience!! Read moreRidiculous and indifferent treatment by Airport coffee outlet.
Please teach the airport outlet staff to be courteous to customers especially senior citizens.
I arrived at Bangalore airport with my senior citizen dad and longed for a filter coffee. I saw your coffee shop and was happy. We bought two cups.....my dad wanted an additional paper cup as he could not sip it straight from the cup. He wanted to cool it slightly by turning it back and forth into an additional cup.
The guy at the counter refused to give a cup despite a polite request. He refused even after I made another request citing the difficulty of a senior citizen.
Not only did he refuse, but also he made a mocking grin which was visually insulting.
I have nothing more to say ..... My dad (83 yrs senior citizen) was insulted by the irresponsible airport outlet staff....and my humble request for a paper cup was replied with a mocking grin.....all because I wanted to give him a good filter coffee.
Disgraceful to say the least.

Read moreI'm a VEGAN so I have limited options whenever I travel. I usually carry my food and drink but today because of unexpected turn of events , I have to stay in airport for long hours. Which means I'll need to have few meals here at airport premises. I was aware of vegan kaapi available in Hatti Kaapi. It was surprising to see some vegan food options too. I'm elated to know, other than Mitti cafe and Shaka Harry, I got one more place to have a meal or snack. Coming to the vegan kaapi made with soy milk, even though I am not big fan of filter coffee or soy milk , still on a chilly weather like today , it's a bliss to have around the airport. The kaapi tastes average and I feel might tasted better with almond milk. I usually drink my instant coffee with almond or oat milk. Not sure if filter coffee would split the other plant based milk options. I would suggest them to try with almond or...
