Excellent ambience, decent but pricey food.

Me and my friend went here for lunch today. We really liked the ambience, very cosy and diner-like. The music being played was some generic stuff though. Anyway, we ordered a plate of Kung Pao Mushrooms, which was surprisingly delicious. It had some fried mushroom pieces tossed in a yummy sweet and spicy sauce, garnished with toasted peanuts and crunchy capsicum. Definitely the highlight of our visit. Next up was a half & half Margherita and roasted veggies pizza, which in my opinion was just about average. The crust was a thin and light type, but it was way too crispy and not at all flexible. The Margherita was good but some might find it bland. The other half, ie, Roasted veggies, had some (you guessed it) Roasted Cauliflower (ugh), Carrot (seriously, who puts this on pizza!?), Sweet corn, Jalapenos, Capsicum and Olives. After the mediocre pizza, we had an 'Alfredo Lasagna', which was a little too small for my liking. But at least it tasted good haha. We ended our lunch with a 'Blackjack' mocktail, which was pretty nice. We didn't really feel stuffed after lunch, maybe because the serving sizes are not too big.

The bill came out to about ₹1,300 which is like ₹650 per person, and personally, I'd go to some places which may not have the nice ambience but serve better food for half the price. But for an occasional visit this place is quite nice. I'd have given 3.5/5 if the option was available, but since it isn't, I gave a 4.

Do check the place out if you haven't been here before, and are bored of all the old Mangalorean spots....

Five stars because I couldn't ask for a better breakfast/chilling place in Mangalore. Of course the place is small (like any other place in Mangalore) so better make a reservation if you're visiting during the peak hours of this place. Saturday morning 11am was packed and I had to wait for a table for about 15 mins. The best part is that the service is very fast and friendly. There's a lobby at the hotel attached where you can wait for a table. The food is pretty good. I clearly enjoyed my order (B.C. omelette). People generally chill here a lot because the place is quite calm so it can be quite a wait if you don't get a table. The music is not loud and there's a good bright ambience to start off your day. Didn't go for the alcohol this time. The quantity of the food was good enough for me. Big time eaters might consider it just enough to get by. The decor of the place is somewhat soothing and cute though they could lose the globe-whatever hanging things. 😅 Since the place is small, you could overhear other tables a lot. The price is just slightly expensive. Say 500 bucks per head for a coffee and some breakfast item together. I don't recall seeing a smoking zone. The inside is good for non-smokers. The crowd is also good. I don't expect that night scenes to be any different (not a party place) but I've not been there at night. Overall, it's a good place to chill and...

Food is great . Definitely a must visit Cafe in Mangalore. The food is tasty fresh and really good. We have tried a couple of burgers and they are really good. When we went there it was totally decorated with IPL team. I really like the way they are taking care of their ambience by decorating them with the teams which are on that particular day Match. The only issue we had was the prices were a bit expensive and compared to other cafes surround and the place is also a bit tiny but they have taken care to look at as a very big restaurant by arranging mirrors on both sides. So if you go and sit inside the restaurant, you will see the illusion as if it’s a very big restaurant with so many people around but actually it’s a very small place and they have arranged everything so properly around. The waiting time is not a big concern here because by the time we reached there, the location have like around 3 to 4 customers and the IPL match was going on. I wonder how they deal when the traffic is high because the place is not that big. All in all I can say we can visit once again but I feel there are many other cafes as well to try around so it has a very good competition and they need to put out to give it to to...

After a long trip from Mumbai filled with air turbulence the ambience of the place really lifted the spirits up.. A small cafe with attentive staff and some good food. That's the perfect combination. Started off with some buds and a ginger lemonade. The ginger lemonade was a bit of a disappointment due to the over powering taste of ginger. Appetizers: Angry birds - fries topped up with peri peri cheese sauce. Perfectly seasoned fries with chesse and peri peri - what can go wrong. Casablanca Chicken - chicken skewers mildly spiced and perfectly cooked juicy succulent chicken. Prawns butter garlic - pretty standard Main Course: Pesto chicken pizza - below average. The pizza base was low on salt which affected the taste of the dish overall. Lasagne Amore - marinara sauce which felt more like an Indian makhni gravy, but taste was quite good and you kept going back for more and more. Winner Winner Chicken Spinner - grilled breast with spinach and mushroom over roasted potatoes. Well cooked chicken with a mild sauce and some good old fashioned potatoes with skin We were so full that we ended up taking this dish home for a lazy next day breakfast. Overall a good dining experience. Dine in date: 28 July 2021
