I guess it is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Mangalore. This is my first experience at Hao Ming.
Firstly, We ordered Chicken Hot and Sour soup🌶️🍋🥣. It was piping hot and tasted a bit too Sour and it was missing a bit of heat. I guess they forgot to add the "Hot" and just added "Sour". Not a big fan of that.
Whereas, rest of the dishes were excellent. The chicken lollipops 🍗🍗 were amazing, they had a perfect thin crispy crust, and they served it right off the stove.
They definitely know how to serve Chinese food. "Steaming Hot".🥡🍲🔥
The chicken Manchurian was next. It didn't come as hot as others, but the taste was unlike any other Manchurian i had before.😋👌 It tasted so different, and delicious. I don't know how to explain, you gotta try it yourself.
Finally, the chicken Hakka noodles. As any other previous dishes, it was served piping hot. The flavours were right, not too pungent with the smell of egg (most common in many Chinese outlets). I highly recommend hakka noodles. It's neither on the bland side nor on the spicy side. Could easily be everyone's "go to" noodles.🥢🥢
But why did i rate it 4? . Certainly a few things can be improved. The service was fast, the food came out of the kitchen very quick, which is amazing. But initially it takes a lot of time for any waiter to even notice you and take your order. May i suggest,? "STOP CONCENTRATING ON TAKE-OUT ORDERS🥡🥡" keep at least a few waiters in charge of the tables and a few for take-outs. I saw the entire crew attending to take outs. 2 of them on the telephone, 2 of them checking the take out bags. It took 10 minutes just for them to take orders. Even though the food came out quick.
So i guess it'll be fair to rate...

I have given a lesser rating only because of its ambience.
Finding this place for the first time will be a bit tough since this place is located inside a lane and there are no sign boards on the main road. I loitered a bit to find this place.
This is one of the Chinese cuisines in Mangalore city.
I ordered a chicken spicy soup in the start, which attracted me a lot. It was spicy with chicken , fried onion, garlic and some curry leaves in it.
Next, for a starter, we opted for wine chicken which was ok good,
followed by chicken chow mien which some chicken stuffing with usual taste in it and American chop suey quantity which they serve will be sufficient for 2 persons. The taste was overall fine but not too good.
I asked for a chopstick to eat, but the chopstick which they gave was very old, dark in colour andtotally worn out in condition.
And speaking about ambience, its not upto to the mark. I went in the afternoon , the lighting was dull inside and the curtains were pulled to shut the lighting from window. Even the air conditioner was not working properly inside and only wall hung fans were used. This aspect was a nit irritating here. And for the sake of Chinese cuisine, they have certain chinese art work and painting inside with a large fish tank in the dining area with some nice fishes.
When pricing is concerned here its on standard rate but acceptable over here for quantity and taste.
Parking I am not sure for 4 wheelers but for two wheeler you will find some...
Read moreWe came here for a Chinese Dinner and we’re not disappointed, however there were some issues.
The menu items have the ‘standard Chinese fare’, there seemed to be nothing new. We ordered some fried rice, veg & non veg gravy items, momos , wanton soup (veg and non veg) , sea food soup and chicken drumsticks.
The food was tasty but the drumstick was a bit too spicy although we were told that it would be non spicy. Apart from this slight oversight, the waiters were very helpful and attentive.
The momos were unfortunately made of flour instead of rice flour as were the wantons. This made the food a bit cheapish and heavy, we did not expect this from a restaurant with so many reviews.
The quantities were generous and the dishes well presented.
I understand this is more of a takeaway style eatery, but they can do more to improve the quality.
The restaurant is on the first floor with no lift access. The building does have a lift but there is no access for the first floor, so senior citizens should be prepared to walk up the stairs, also there is no parking, if you come in a car you need to park on the main road outside which could be a problem.
Next time maybe I will try another restaurant just to...
