We visited here on a Monday afternoon for lunch. We specifically chose this place as we were looking for a vegetarian restaurant and Google suggested this place. Located inside the Deepa Comforts hotel, this is one among the 2-3 restaurants present in the hotel. The restaurant wasn't full and we got a seating for 7 of us. We ordered the following: Masala Papad, South Indian Thali and Special South Indian Thali, which has a sweet and soup extra compared to South Indian Thali. For starters, we ordered Baby Corn Ghee Roast which was something new I saw and hence wanted to try out. It was good to try out once and was served quickly. We also ordered the Paneer Kaju Masala and Roti basket which has assortment of 5 rotis such as kulcha, naan, roti, methi paratha, etc. These two items took quite some time to be served and had to check with the staff couple of times. The quantity was good for 4 pax. However, the roti basket would suffice for 5 pax and be mindful when you order due to portion size of the curry you will order alongside. For beverages, we ordered couple of mocktails - Purple haze and Pure Passion - Black Current; along with sweet lime and curd. We were also served with onion salad on table. Their menu also has good options of breakfast and snacks too. Overall we liked the place but service can be improved in terms of speed. Staff are polite and friendly. Price is on the higher side but suits the ambience as well as property it's in. Washroom are clean as well and...
Read moreWe decided to visit this place with all our company staffs for lunch and what we served with was below average food. We ordered Veg pulao, Palak soup, Hyderabadi biriyani, fried rice, a mushroom starter (Don't remember the exact name)!! We had to wait for a very long time for the order to be served. But after waiting for so much time, if the food served was good, it wouldn't have been an issue at all. The palak soup was like the palak was just blended in a mixer and the paste was served to us🤮 Each one of us were struggling to finish it off. Hyderabadi biriyani had hardly any gravy or masala just a plain rice, that too didn't look like good quality basmati rice!! Coming to pulao, it had just rice and peas... That's it... Do we even call this pulao?? We do much better pulao at our home... Why we need to come here to eat just a plain rice and some peas!! The muschroom starter was cold... And dissapointing completely!! We wanted desserts, but our stomach was already utterly disappointed after having their food and had no interest left in trying their highly priced desserts!! This is my first and last visit to this restaurant. I neither want to visit this place once again nor recommended it to anyone...

My experience:
I have been to Chutney's several times in the past few years. This week was my fist visit after 1 year. Always have loved their interiors, and upstairs seating. The service is really good. Only difference is the food! It was excellent 2 years ago! Now, its a matter of luck! Some dishes come out excellent and some are average. Have had better tasty delicacies from their kitchen 2 years ago. Thats why i have rated them one star less now.
