I recently booked an Oyo for a stay in Mangalore, close to the railway station. The booking was smooth where we had to pay online. We were 9 of us, hence booked 3 rooms and with the option of extra mattresses. Experience: Since we were travelling in train we reached mangalore quiet early and we decided we will request the owner for an early check-in. Initially the owner was ok with it and asked for extra money of 300 per room and we were ok to pay that amount. He also showed us the empty rooms which were vacant. The minute we told him that we have done the payment online he just angrily threw the keys and told us to go away and come later at 12 telling that there are no rooms available. We requested him a lot. He said that "Oyo people don't pay us the money at all, 2 lakh rupees are pending, go away come at 12. We are not providing any rooms to you". Like seriously how can anybody be so rude? We somehow managed to request him for fresh up and after a long delay he allowed us to get freshed up by asking 200 per person which we agreed since we dint have any choice, if we had cancelled the booking before 24 hours our entire money would be gone. We kept our bags somewhere on the side and went out and returned at 8 to find out that our rooms were still not ready. Like seriously? What the hell were they doing all this time? We had to wait for almost an hour to get our rooms ready. And about the room the room was dirty like crazy and we could smell cigarette smell all the time. The rooms were even dirty with no proper facilities. I had a lot of trust on oyo with good quality but really did not expect this kind of worst treatment. Wish I could put zero star. One of the worst hotels that one could visit. No respect from servers or management, they treat you like as though you have come to have for free. Tried a mango dish, just had one spoon of it and my throat was pricking in pain, offered my man the same and his throat also was hurting, it’s because they haven’t cleaned the mango well and the gum of the mango was present in it, asked the server to please check the same, he argued by saying many have had it, they had no problem, then the server came to us over and over again by saying it’s completely fine, then we spoke to the person who sits on the bill desk, he literally shouted at us saying manager has tasted it. We paid and left. The employees were commenting while we were leaving “ however they want why should we prepare “. We questioned back on their comment they raised their voice and were screaming. It was annoying to talk to them .

Even before I had been here. I had a bad experience. I asked for a meal to be served on a plate. They provided the dirtiest small plate and told there are no plates for lunch. Only leaves are provided. Food quality also not good.

The worst ever food experience in my life Karnataka, Mengalure, the attitude, approach, service of the person Mr. Jairam, (told by the cashier) was horrible, rude & rash. Requested for hot water to drink instead of normal dirty water in the steel glass, his reply was it will take 10 minutes to get it & insisted us Bisleri bottle. Served plate, glass, table nothing properly cleaned seen dirty every where. The food not at all tasty & much expensive compared to other top, good veg hotels in Mengaluru. As a konkani thought of trying & tasting our dishes visited here first time with my family on Saturday 17/02/2024. Only the name, nothing else. The first & last ever experience in this hotel. Dear youth & senior veg friends, advice for tasty veg foods & best customer service, there are lots of good customer friendly veg hotels in Mengaluru city. Don't spoil your day, pulse, time & money in this worst hotel, I've nothing seen good of this hotel except the name New Tajamahal, (near The Ocean Pearl) nothing new, even the ambience, atmosphere, food, service nothing, but the price, that's too high for the average food they serve.
