I had an extremely disappointing experience at this so-called Kerala-style restaurant. Unfortunately, I took a chance and decided to dine here, but it turned out to be a big mistake. To begin with, the service was poor and handled by unprofessional staff who seemed disinterested and lacked basic hospitality skills. The wait time was unusually long, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was far from satisfactory. The ghee rice, which is supposed to be fragrant and warm, was served cold and tasted stale, as if it had been prepared long before and simply reheated. The chicken dishes were well below average, lacking both freshness and authentic flavors. The seasoning seemed off, and the texture of the meat raised concerns about its quality. Adding to the disappointment, the restaurant felt incredibly congested. It was clear that they had squeezed in as many tables as possible, leaving little space for comfortable movement. This not only made the dining experience uncomfortable but also raised hygiene concerns, as the place did not seem well-maintained. Overall, the combination of unhygienic food, poor service, and an overcrowded setup made this visit an unpleasant one. I regret choosing this place and would not recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic or enjoyable Kerala dining experience.

Cochin Village Restaurant in Mangalore is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Kerala cuisine. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the vibrant streets of Kerala, thanks to the cozy ambiance and the welcoming staff. Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of spectacular. The Beef Biryani was the star of the show. Fragrant rice, tender pieces of beef, and a medley of spices came together in perfect harmony. It was a true culinary delight that I won't forget anytime soon. But the beef offerings didn't stop there. The Beef Fry was a masterpiece of flavors and textures – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with a punch of spices. And if you thought it couldn't get any better, the Beef Sukka elevated the beef game to a whole new level. The combination of rich, aromatic spices and perfectly cooked beef was simply divine. To complement these dishes, I ordered a refreshing Lime Soda, which was a perfect choice to balance the bold flavors of the meal. Cochin Village Restaurant in Mangalore has truly mastered the art of Kerala-style cuisine, and their Beef Biryani, Beef Fry, and Beef Sukka are a testament to that. If you're looking for a taste of Kerala in Mangalore, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings.

Cochin Village Restaurant is a F&B-Casual Dining outlet located in the heart of the city. It offers a wide variety of delicious dishes from the traditional Kerala cuisine. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating and a friendly staff. The menu features a variety of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages. The restaurant also offers catering services for special occasions. The restaurant is known for its quality food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. It is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends. Free parking available outside the hotel, the Google location is correct, on road easily accessible, very famous among students, bachelors and families. The quality of the food is superb, staff is very prompt and courteious, abou. The professional service is something these restaurateurs care about. Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cochin Village Restaurant during my visit to Mangalore, Karnataka, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant's ambiance, friendly staff, and most importantly, the scrumptious food left a lasting impression on me.

Cochin Village Restaurant is renowned for its authentic South Indian cuisine, and one dish that stands out among the rest is their mouthwatering Poratta and Beef. The porattas were perfectly flaky and served piping hot, while the beef was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavors. The combination of the soft, fluffy porattas with the rich and savory beef curry was simply heavenly.

The restaurant itself had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with tasteful decor that captured the essence of a traditional village setting. The staff members were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer suggestions and recommendations.

Apart from the exceptional Poratta and Beef, Cochin Village Restaurant offers a wide range of other delectable dishes that are worth exploring. non-vegetarian options, all prepared with the freshest ingredients and authentic flavors.

In addition to the delightful food, the prices at Cochin Village Restaurant were quite reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. It is an excellent choice for both locals and tourists looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Overall, my experience at Cochin Village Restaurant was exceptional. From the inviting ambiance to the friendly staff and, of course, the unforgettable Poratta and Beef, every element contributed to a memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in Mangalore and have a craving for delicious South Indian cuisine, I highly recommend visiting Cochin...

Cochin Village, Mangalore — A Slice of Kerala in the Coastal City

Having moved from Bangalore to Mangalore nearly five years ago, one of the first places we discovered and kept returning to was Cochin Village. Since that first visit, it has remained a consistent part of our dining routine. What draws us back is not just the food, but the warmth and sincerity with which it’s served.

Over the years, Cochin Village has become more than just a restaurant it's a haven for anyone looking to experience authentic Kerala cuisine. The service, the consistency in food quality, and the friendly management have made it one of the most reliable and comforting spots in the city. Whether it’s the subtle flavors of traditional curries, the fiery seafood preparations, or the perfectly crisp porottas every meal feels like it’s made with care and cultural pride.

What truly sets Cochin Village apart is its hospitality. The staff is always courteous, attentive, and welcoming a reflection of the leadership behind the scenes. Niheil, the young entrepreneur behind the venture, deserves special mention. With his close-knit team, he has built a space where quality, authenticity, and customer satisfaction take center stage. His hands-on approach and commitment to excellence are evident in the way the restaurant operates day in and day out.

For students, working professionals, and anyone who has made Mangalore home away from home especially those from Kerala Cochin Village offers a nostalgic and delicious escape. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're dining at your favorite eatery back home.

Highly recommended for anyone craving a true taste of Kerala in Mangalore. The food is outstanding, the people are lovely, and the experience is always worth...
