Has Dosa Point gone to dogs???
This is the OG Dosa Point which started in Devaraja Urs road and is now shifted to the current location.
The quality has definitely gone bad. During my event visit I experienced a drop in service quality as well.
I went there for lunch. Options were minimal. I ordered Channa Batura, Rice Bhaath and Curd Vada.
Firstly, channa was served with Poori, not baturas. No onions, no cucumber slices. Channa was bland, not tasty.
Rice Bhaath was served with chutney. They didn't have curd raitha. When asked they said they will charge extra 10 rupees for curd. Even street side fastfood carts serve rice bhaat with raitha. And here they didn't have it.
The once crowded place has many empty tables during peak lunch time is perhaps an evidence that Dosa Point is losing its name.
Avoid this place. More interesting and more friendly eating joints have come up in the same lane. You should try...
Read moreWe searched this hotel n went all the way travelling almost 10kms. we ordered n got dosa, which was bit burnt n we felt it was eatable. The moment it was served on the table a guy who was sitting 2 table away from us came to us not told this dosa it not eatable. He went straight to the kitchen n in his supervision he order to make fresh dosa n we got exchanged the burnt dosa with good one. Its our guess that he was the owner of the Dosa point. His attitude towards his customers really touched us, coz we didn't even bothered to ask the dosa point people about it n he himself made a note of the mistake done by his cook n rectified it without delay. One thing is for sure they thrive to serve good quality dishes n also maintain hygiene. Thank him for his kind n sincere gesture towards his customer. It's highly recommend to go there if u want delicious...
Read moreAmbience is just so so... A regular joint for people on the run... Food is a very average fair... A good enough place only for the sake of eating and rushing off on your way... Seems to be a place made for real estate consultants to hang around and have lengthy discussions over a by two cup of coffee... Saagu (too sour) , chutney (watery and bland) and sambar (watery, bland) were a big let down... Chiblu idly was just ok... Curd vada was just abt manageable... Vada was quite dense... The curds was loaded with sugar... So it was essentially a vada dipped in lassi... Didn't even feel like clicking any food pics... Overall an average place... Not to be visited to too much of hopes.. But a good enough place to manage ur hunger and go about...
