Pros: The fish was absolutely fresh and delicious. We were a group of friends and had pomphret and king fish and both were outstanding. There is a dry powder (was it a chutney?) that is provided as a topping on the fish which was also yummy! The food was better than the highly priced Gajalee! The size of the fish is also generous. The curry and vegetables that come with the rice thali are tasty. And the best part is that the curry and vegetables are unlimited.
Cons: The menu is severely limited with only 4-5 types of fish. There is only rice and that too only boiled rice available! No rotis/chapatis/parathas! Also the place stinks so when you walk into the place for the first time, you are not sure about what to expect. Since I had recommended this place to my friends, I was highly apprehensive about the quality and taste of the food... but both turned out great! So even with the severely limited menu, we enjoyed the food. However, this is a place to eat and get out... this is not a place where you linger over your food and have conversation for sure!
If I could split the stars; 5 for food, 3 for place is how I would've split them. I would've given it five stars but for the smell! I'm ok with the limited menu because I wouldn't have had any other fish any which way, though prawns would've been appreciated! So if you appreciate food even when the surrounding is not the best, definitely go here! You will come away satisfied and...

Car Parking : 2/5 Very Hard
Ease of getting a table and Efforts by management in maintaining a queue system for table assignment : 1/5 If you go as a family, be prepared to sit separately. It's hard to find a table for 4.
Ease of ordering: 1/5 There's no concept of menu / a la carte here. You find a seat for yourself, they place a leaf, serve meals and then after a while a person comes carrying a variety of fish in a tray. You have to choose from it. No fun if one doesn't get what one wants, right!
Food : 4/5 Pros : Food Tastes Good. Cons: You go all the way to this place for its hype, only to eat what is left. It's not about what you want here. I asked for Pomfret, and it was out of stock at 1:45pm. Got Anjal (Tawa Fry) Instead. It Tasted good though. No complaints on that. The fish curry for the rice was on the spicier side of the scale
Overall comfort of dining : 0/5 No AC sections. 4 tables dedicated for family which is not enough at all I felt. Hot and stuffy , I'd even say suffocating
Value for money : 4/5 Anjal : âš360 pp ( I think this is a pretty fair pricing)
Conclusion: Will i ever go again? : No Will i recommend it to anyone? : If you have never had a chance to have delicious sea food, probably a one time visit yeah. Ideally take a rickshaw and dont self drive. Is it worth the hype you get from all the insta...
