My experience during the stat at the hotel and the Food i had at Lauppu Buffet was very average. I have read reviews of awesome buffet of this hotel but i was disappointed when i had it . Literally 2 or 3 items were saviour. Buffet rush is like crazy for such average taste. Cocktails from the Bar were ok not great. What disappointed further was inspite of the room being centrally AC it was crazy hot . I had to ask 2 times if ac was working. I was told because of the crowd but then then the ac needed to be cranked up to make the surroundings cool. U cant enjoy a buffet sweating . Can you believe outside seating was cooler then the ac seating. Ordered Steam rice and Daal fry/tadka for dad and i was told it wud be made seperately. But it was the same mushy rice and the daal from the buffet. At an exorbitant 700 plus gst for 2 dishes that was not expected. Dinner cost us almost 5k with cocktails and it was not value for money. Breakfast was included in our booking. Both days apart from 2 3 items everything was repeated. Scrambled eggs had egg shell in it , juice was tasteless. Sunny side up egg was oily. Ordered but never got the dosa. Getting a seat was tough and it was a chaos during both breakfast and dinner buffets. Their non veg and veg thali was on the list during our visit as seen and influenced by a huge food blogger but after the 1st night we decided not to have meals in the hotel. Google says its a 5 star property but the food and arrangements are that of 3 star. May be becos of rush during the long weekend but nevertheless food being the most important part of stay for me and specially booking the room becos of the food review I was very disappointed. Rooms . Room was very small . We were 3 people and booked the room seeing the pics in the website which looked huge. Even for 2 people room was smaller than other star property i stayed in. For 14k for 2 nights and 3 days i found the deal not value for money. Definitely didnt meet my expectations.

They claim that they are first 5 star hotel of mysore. But i suspect the standards are far from being 5 star.we went on a rainy day for la uppu restaurant and the floors were full of water and there was nobody to clear that untill we left for that evening.it was slippery and buffet they charge 900+taxes but no much items.only one soup and for starters i waited more than half an hourto get the starters and even curries and rotis are also not upto the mark.desserts also limited.service also not satisfactory.very limited staffs and lack of co-ordination.overall lot of improvements required when it comes to Hospitality and it should be same for everyone.

La Uppu, the all day dining restaurant at Grand Mercure Mysore has got lot of amazing national and International cuisine varieties. They have very good Karnataka thali with local Mysore flavors. The dessert selection is really good too. Chef Satya Seelan excels in creating amazing dishes like Nalli Nihari in Mysore Style, Papdi Chicken and Prawns too. Would definitely recommend you to visit there for lunch or dinner even if you are not staying at Grand Mercure Mysore.

Horrible place to stay, rude staff, poor service, tasteless food! - this sums up my stay in a sentence at this place! I m a member of Accor hotels, I stayed for 3 nights at this place and here is my experience: This Grand Mercure is way way below poor. Lunch Buffett is so bad, only 1 veg starter, which was also over when we went. The refill took them 1 hour. We asked for Naan, but they forgot about it twice, and only after yelling they served it cold; it took them 45 minutes just to get us the Naan, the THIRD time! Food was below par compared to some local small street restaurants. The same thing happened for tea for breakfast in the morning! We had to chase them, ask them 5 to 6 times! Its pathetic! Staff is so rude, it clearly shows they hate working there! They cannot handle the crowd or they are significantly understaffed. They delivered our luggage to the room after 2 hours of checking in and 5 times of following up! The reception staff is bored, overworked and rude for simple things you ask they dont want to answer! The room service is okay but food, service etc., needs to be extremely improved. I will NEVER stay here even though I m a member, I highly recommend not to stay here if you are looking for a 4 star plus experience, better to stay elsewhere, there are many options around. This place does not even deserve one tenth of what we pay and further, they definitely deserve 1 star review like this and I see there are many more like me! its a matter of time this...

BEWARE! Do not go to this restaurant. Worst experience ever. ordered dosa and had to tell them 5-6 times after 20 mins they served soggy dosa then asked for a tea again 6-7 times then too no response at last I went to the guy and asked for a tea the tea guy was least interested to serve me the tea but then when he served the tea it was not hot it was warm I asked him to serve me a hot tea he said it is hot upon looking I saw I got a ceramic tea cup and it was super dirty, I showed him that he said no ma’am it is not dirty I just served you the tea that’s why it is like that. so I showed my cup to another server he just said yes ma’am it is dirty and went away they did not do anything.

I did not say anything I just left the premises as I did not want to ruin my day then went to ashirbaad grant which is 2 min away from here had the best mysuru dosa and filter coffee.

Restaurant managers if you’re listing then listen carefully we all know Atithi Devo Bhava. but for you guys it seems only foreigners are the atithis who are welcomed and served with utmost respect and we are just another person who does not...
