Visited Sharif Bhai during our Mysore trip after seeing many positive Google reviews, but honestly, the experience was quite average.
We ordered two thalis (one chicken and one mutton) based on the waiter’s recommendation for our group of 8 adults and 3 kids. The chicken thali was better, but the rice quantity wasn’t enough.
We also tried keema and parotta—the parotta was okay, but keema was disappointing. Bread options were quite limited. The drink that came with the thali wasn’t good, but the firni was lovely and stood out.
The AC wasn’t working, and with the warm weather, it really affected the overall dining experience.
Another downside was the lack of juice or dessert options for kids—something that could make a difference for families.
The bill came to around ₹6,000, which felt a bit expensive considering the food quality and quantity. Later that same night, we dined at Empire, spent about ₹6,700, but got more variety, better food, and a much more comfortable dining experience.
We didn’t try the entire menu, so maybe there are better dishes, but based on what we had, I’d suggest trying Empire or other nearby places for better value...
Read moreOk first of all I came here to eat was because I searched a good rated biriyani restaurant in Mysore, and the first which popped up was this with above 2.5k ratings.
Talking about the food, I ordered a family size Biriyani containing chicken only. The chicken was soo old and soo blank. When it was served, it was not hot and the rice does not even suit the style of the biriyani. They use small rice grains. And talking about the meat its soo old like maybe few weeks down before. For the name they got the cleanliness is not worth it and they just got a big name and until u eat from here, u would understand this isn’t a good restaurant for the name it got.
And also this is the most funniest part 🤣🤣. The manager right after finishing the food tells everybody like he told my whole family to rate this restaurant. I did 4 star infront of him and he forcefully pressed 5. Such people with no integrity. Not only after mine was done, he was too quick to force my other family members to rate it from their phone. No wonder it has this much reviews plus all the 4 and 5 star rating which is applied by them itselfs. Don’t trust...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their biryani and lime soda. The experience was delightful, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts. The biryani was incredibly flavorful, with a perfect blend of spices that complemented the rice and chicken beautifully. Each bite was a burst of taste, making it clear that the dish was prepared with care and expertise. The tenderness of the chicken added to the overall enjoyment, making it a standout choice on the menu. To accompany the biryani, I ordered a lime soda, which was incredibly refreshing. The balance of sweetness and tartness was just right, providing a perfect contrast to the savory flavors of the biryani. It was an excellent choice to cleanse the palate between bites. Overall, my dining experience was very satisfying. The combination of the delicious biryani and refreshing lime soda made for a memorable meal that I would highly recommend. If you're in the area, be sure to check this restaurant out for a taste of these...
