I visited this restaurant because I saw very good reviews on Swiggy and also because good versions of my two favourites - thathe idli and akki roti - are not that easy to come by. I ordered both - which was almost double of what I usually eat but since I was curious…. The thathe idli was very good but the accompanying saagu and chutney were a bit disappointing - perhaps because I hate saagu and would have preferred sambar, which in all fairness I could have asked for The masala akki roti was splendid, chockablock with sapsige soppu ;dill greens) onion and other masala. So was the coffee that I finished my meal with. The owner takes the trouble to interact even serve the customers and the place is no-frills but extremely clean and nice I would have given a 5-star rating except for the saagu. So the rating is a work in progress because I need to eat a few more times and a few more dishes All said, I recommend the place for good, clean...
Read moreDuring our recent visit to Mysore, this restaurant happened to be quite close to our homestay (our hosts recommended this restaurant). We loved the food we had during our multiple visits here.
We tried masala akki rotti, neer dose, masala dose, buns, tea and meals. Everything was very tasty and had a homely feel to it. Wifey liked the meals so much that while returning from Kabini to Pune, we decided to eat lunch here itself so she could have their meal 😁 Sadly, neither the meals nor the akki rotti (2 things we had in mind for lunch) were ready when we reached:( since we had a long drive ahead, we didn't want to wait for it.
Nonetheless, this is an amazing place to visit for a hearty yummy breakfast/lunch/dinner. Owner is always present and is very friendly too, continuously interacting with the customers, hence enhancing the experience. Highly recommend this place to others and will definitely plan to return during our future...
Read moreThis place doesn't provide chutney with their dishes when you take out of get it delivered.. which is a very irritating aspect. I don't know why people at Sunita's veg court expect us to eat idli with just Sambar. Even after repeatedly asking for chutney, they don't give it to you. Not sure what is their problem... Saving on their chutney? Only they can answer. Though the dishes are good.. this lack of chutney makes the experience very underwhelming.. so I want to ask people at Sunita's veg court.. why don't you give us our chutneys??? Please Edit: they now serve chutney in a separate package as promised by them. Thank you Sunitha's veg court for keeping your word. Please continue serving the delicious...
