TAWA RESTAURANT | TOP RATED RESTAURANT IN COORG — Restaurant in Karnataka

I stayed at the Hotel Madikeri Heritage so I had the pleasure of dining at Tawa Restaurant for 2 nights. The staff were responsive, some could uderstand and speak English. They were very helpful, polite and accommodating. Carpark was located just outside the restaurant. For wheelchair users, there were some steps to tread on. Restaurant wasn’t huge but enough space for under 50pax.

Tawa Restaurant catered a pan-fry vegetables dish for me which was out of the menu. The first try wasn’t quite successful as they mixed cabbage, which I wanted so much, they mixed with some frozen long beans, green beans and carrots. On the 2nd night they fried cabbage alone. It was good.

My friends told me that I should try Coorg’s special chicken curry so I ordered it. True enough, it was delicious. The Schewan Noodle was a tad too spicy for me. The texture was still good. I had hot Corn Soup that warmed me up after a long journey from Chikkamangaluru.

The good-looking restaurant manager was a man with a few words. His instructions carried a lot of weight to the chefs and staff. On a laughing note, I told him he resembled the actor, Robert de Niro (the younger version of course).
