The Lobby Cafe — Restaurant in Karnataka

Today morning ie 27th November, 2017, I along with my family had been here for breakfast as I had coupons. They have vast menu, starting from south Indian, North Indian, continental, juices, etc. A menu that can be fit to any age group irrespective of their taste and mood. Well to start up with, I took Tadka idli, poori with aloo and some breakfast bakery stuff. Idle was quite hard, in aloo sabji the chef forgot to add Salt. Chocolate donut was very dry from inside. French toast was party cooked, inside it wasn't. Hot milk for cornflakes wasn't hot. Overall it was a bad experience with regards to quality and taste. I had read good reviews about the food at this restaurant, but was very disappointed after visiting it today. I had informed the manager about salt missing and hard idli,he even got me soft one later, but still Its part of the manager and specially chef to not let situation arise. I found that 3 chefs were standing near to the food display area, but still none could check what's lacking. After such good reviews, I myself is feeling bad to write a negative one, but can't help it, as I write reviews as per the experience I have/had. Either the management should teach their staff how taste of food needs to be maintained with quality or needs to stop serving it. Rs.555/- for breakfast is seriously over priced for this bad quality, where chef team and management both...

Planned to have nice lunch with my family on .20th august.my wife called the hotel and confirmed if the restaurant was open and they had tandoori dishes mentioned in the menu available the person on the phone confirmed and said all items are available.. I went with my whole family around 1pm in the afternoon when we reached the entire place was deserted no watchman no front desk nobody to receive us... finally somebody came to the lobby and took us to the restaurant showed the menu and said "no tandoori items" I was angry 😡...why did they not give correct details when my wife called in the morning wasted our time and forced to look for alternative place we decided to leave...they almost ruined a perfect afternoon with my family which we all were looking forward to.. fortunately we found another place and made up for the foul start... never expected such unprofessional customer service inspite of calling itself a premium hotel...will never set foot in...

GOOD FOOD, GREAT TASTE, CAML AMBIANCE BUT LOW ON SERVICE

We visited The Lobby for buffet dinner. It was an evening of heavy rain and we really had a good time with food and the surroundings.

Buffet Spread : Buffet spread was really very nice. Starting from appetizer till dessert the choice of dishes was very balanced. Food included a mix of Indian, Chinese and Thai dishes. Every section had a few non-veg and a few veg dishes. Desserts also had a good mix of hot desserts, cold desserts, cakes, ice-creams etc

Taste : Chef did a great job at cooking. Every dish was right in its place.

Ambiance : Very cool. High ceiling, calm interiors and well set dining hall. We enjoyed the heavy rain sitting right next to the large glass walls.

Service : A let down. They were severely short on staff. Service spoiled rest of the fun.
