Anas Hotel – A Hidden Gem for Food Lovers in Trivandrum Discovered this spot through a YouTube video, and it truly lived up to being a hidden gem. Though the ambience of Anas Hotel is quite average and nothing flashy, the food experience more than made up for it. We tried their porotta, beef fry, and chicken fry – a classic combo that turned out to be impressive. The porotta was soft, flaky, and freshly made right in front of the restaurant, which added a special touch. The beef fry was delicious in every bite – more like a thick, flavorful gravy than a dry fry, which worked really well with the porotta. However, the quantity felt a bit on the lesser side. The highlight was definitely the chicken fry – arguably one of the best you can get in Trivandrum. It was served hot and crispy, coated in a flavorful masala, and the portion was generous. Overall, Anas Hotel may not shine in its looks, but if you’re chasing real taste and homely flavors, this place is worth a visit. Great food, decent service, and pocket-friendly pricing make it a spot to return to.

It's a very old restaurant in Vallakkadavu junction, situated near the Hindu newspaper office. Their chicken fry is too good in taste and price wise also it's good. Costed some 220 for a full chicken fry with some six plus chicken pieces including 2 leg pieces. But the arrogance of the person at the counter was a total disappointment. The old school type uncle who thinks they served us for free. And the Trivandrum pucham / sarcastic face was even more disgusting. I really wanted to leave without taking the parcel, but as they packed everything I went ahead paying them. I may never go again to the place. Bought 15 porotta and 2 full chicken fry, costed 560 rupees.

One of the most underrated places for porotta and beef in Trivandrum The beef is super flavorful and tender, and the porottas are perfectly flaky and soft. It’s not a fancy place, but the taste is unbeatable. If you’re a fan of classic Kerala-style beef and porotta, this place is a hidden gem. Definitely worth checking out!
