recently had the pleasure of dining at Thaqwa Restaurant in Enchakkal, Thiruvananthapuram, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chicken Mandi and Shawarma. The Chicken Mandi was cooked to perfection, with tender meat infused with aromatic spices and served alongside fragrant riceâa true culinary delight that left me craving for more. The Shawarma was equally impressive, boasting a perfect balance of flavors and a satisfyingly tender texture.Additionally, I couldn't resist trying the Chicken Tikka Masala Curry, and it did not disappoint. The rich and creamy curry paired wonderfully with fluffy naan bread, creating a symphony of flavors that delighted my taste buds.Apart from the exceptional food, I was equally impressed by the ambiance of Thaqwa Restaurant. The cozy and inviting atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The attentive staff added to the overall charm, ensuring that every need was promptly attended to with a smile.Overall, my visit to Thaqwa Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious dishes to the welcoming ambiance and attentive service, every aspect of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Thaqwa Restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in authentic flavors and impeccable hospitality in...
Read moreI never had this kind of worst experience anywhere else other than Thaqwa. Im here in Trivandrum for a short visit and most of my itinerary were pre scheduled. On 12th March we went for dinner at Thaqwa restaurant and ordered fried rice, beef curry, mutton curry and butter nan. First they served a spicy oily mutton soup in a small welcome glass.who serves soup in a welcome glass.soup is meant to be served in soup bowl because of it's spiciness and it cannot be gulped like welcome drink. The top of the glass was full oil. One sip and my mother in law had heart burn. Hence she didnt eat anything further. None of us took more than one sip. Except fried rice everything else was more oil with half cooked meat and wasn't tasty at all. Instead of butter oil was dripping from Nan. We all ate very less. The very night itself i started vomiting. The next two days it was loose motion. 13th and 14th Marvh i spent at Govindans hospital with IV treatment. My brother in law and sister in law were affected. But im the one who was affected the most with food poison. I express my strong negative recommendation. I never intend to return to Thaqwa restaurant and strongly advises others against...
Read moreI had Mandhi from this restaurant a while back, and it was incredibly tasty. Thinking about it made me crave biryani. However, the biryani I tried turned out to be one of the worst I've ever tasted. The rice was undercooked, with a rough texture, and the beef pieces were tough and chewy. It felt like eating uncooked rice in beef curry, lacking any discernible taste.
Despite the disappointing food, the restaurant did have some positive aspects. The ambiance was pleasant, with comfortable cushioned chairs, and the overall cleanliness was well-maintained. However, the service was subpar, as the staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than in taking orders and serving food. On the plus side, both the wash area and the washroom were kept very clean.
It's worth noting that while this restaurant may have its merits, there are nearby shops that offer better biryani at a lower price. The restaurant's location is easily accessible, but the overall dining experience left much...
