Read moreIt took the staff 45 minutes after we had placed the first order to let us know that they had run out of chapatis, but that the curry was ready. So we settled for rice, but they again ran out of it when we decided to place a repeat order of it after they informed us that the pizza we had originally ordered would not be ready at all because the power had gone out and the uncooked item had been sitting inside a switched off oven this entire time.
Pathetic service, as the servers were not even particularly apologetic and one of the only two available excused himself to go play games sat smack dab in the middle of the wash area.
Edit in response to the reply from owner: No, it was not a rush hour, there were very few folks in there other than us who were placing active orders. And sure, power may not be in your control, but isn't it the staff's responsibility to check on the pizza earlier than more than 30 minutes after we had placed the order? And no, we weren't given a "discount" on the bill -- we requested that the service charge be removed because we received such poor service, and even for that, we needed to have a back and forth and really assert ourselves.
From the situation we experienced, it seemed like the two cooks were working crazy hard in order to fulfill all our orders and the food was actually decent, hence the 3 stars given, but the servers ruined the...
Read moreThis cafe is over priced and doesn't serve what they claim to add as ingredients in menu card. We ordered French Crepe which said would have sundried strawberries and syrup, which might sound reasonable for the price they have quoted but what you get in the plate is an average pan cake with honey and apple slices, Same is the case with French toast and egg sandwich. If at all by any chance you take a glance at their kitchen and utility space you won't even imagine eating at this place ( most untidieset kitchen I've ever seen ). Owners don't care about anything happening around the place and they're busy with their gadgets. There are so many other nice cafes in south cliff, better to avoid this place for food unless you want to waste your time and money.
Edit after the owners response: I visited last week not during rush hours, ah and yeah it wasn't for the French Crepe but for the toast and NO you didn't add the ingredients you've beautifully described for both the food. Not the Nutella for the Crepe and not the sun dried strawberries or syrup for the French toast. I see that you give fitting reply to defend yourself for all the honest reviews provided below, please try to improvise than to justify your flaws. The cafe entrance is so shabby and so are the space around coffee machine and yours cups. People can see it...
