If you ever want to see what greed looks like, you must visit this place to observe the lady at the counter, the owner working at the parcel counter, and the waiters who follow the owner's instructions.

I really don’t understand why people have accepted substandard food as their go-to option. The rice they serve is of very low quality, and if you choose a vegetarian meal, there’s nothing much to expect—just a filling but poor-quality meal.

On top of that, they lack ethics and basic customer service skills. These restaurants survive only because people continue to visit; otherwise, they have nothing exceptional to offer.

The whiteboard at the left entrance has handwritten prices, according to which the veg meal should cost Rs. 70. However, they charged us Rs. 80 for a veg meal. I confirmed with one waiter, and he said it should be Rs. 70. Then another waiter, with a poor attitude, said it's Rs. 80 and that they haven’t updated the board yet. I said okay. Then I asked the lady at the counter, and she confirmed the veg meal is Rs. 70. That’s when the drama began.

The owner, with a cheap and low mindset, instructed the lady to charge Rs. 80, even though the listed price was Rs. 70. The lady then said, “I have to charge what the owner says.” I told her I had no problem paying, but it’s about ethics and standards, which are clearly lacking here. She replied, “I’m just an employee.”

I said, “No worries, I will pay, but I will definitely leave a review.” Suddenly, the lady at the counter started behaving like the owner, saying she doesn’t care about reviews because their business will continue regardless.

I don’t know how much this review will impact their business, but I am writing it to protect the image of Kerala. I live in Kerala, having migrated from another state. I hold a Kerala voter ID, I own a home here, and I know that the people of Kerala are genuinely good at heart and conduct. But because of people like this, tourists who accidentally eat at this restaurant may walk away with a wrong impression of Kerala...

This restaurant is good but had to say it's over hyped as well. Gone there few times n i usually take meals n beef Curry the meals n side dishes are just ok but still had a taste while having with beef curry which was good. One day while i ws having meals n beef i had some left over rice n decided to eat it with tuna fry as this hotel is famous for sea food, i askd the waiter to give me only one single piece as i dnt want to waste it n he said he can only give it as two which costs 80 rs i again approached him n he jst flew away saying he can't. An arrogant behavior showcased, i ws like ah never mind then i took 2 pieces then i tasted it what can i say the tuna Fry looks very delicious n tastes very awfull. Even though the taste was awfull i ws wondering like y cant he give a single piece for rs 40 😂. I have something to say it to the owner pls do consider customer preferences than business 😂

Meals 3/5 Beef Curry 4/5 Tuna fry 2/5 Waiters...

Devyeee🥶🥶 Now I understand how the shop got its name. I visited this restaurant after seeing the reviews here. Pitiful I must say. The meals was probably one of the worst I have had in recent times. The parip curry was some slimy gravy with no flavour. Sambar was a total failure. The best thing they served was the gooseberry pickle and the cabbage. The 3rd side dish was some vegetable that dint have any flavour or taste at all. The fish gravy was also a watery mess. Seeing so many positive reviews about such a place makes me think, Is this one of the best Trivandrum has to offer? I dont think this place even deserves a second chance. The fish fry was decent. The quality of tuna as okyish. Devyeeee😅 ( Rasool Pukutty visited this place once, they have his photo framed inside the restaurant. The look on the poor guys face 🥴🥴)

Meals are ohk.. With two side dish one pickles and 4 options of curry (sambhar, pulissery, dal, rasam) price for meals is 90Rs. Their main highlight is choora fish fry, other varieties were not available during our visit, but fish fry has very good masala and is pretty delicious. Although as per them one set fish fry is 2 good piece, however they tend to provide more than 2 pieces, priced at INR 70. Do check out other varieties available there
