If you ever want to see what greed looks like, you must visit this place to observe the lady at the counter, the owner working at the parcel counter, and the waiters who follow the owner's instructions.
I really don’t understand why people have accepted substandard food as their go-to option. The rice they serve is of very low quality, and if you choose a vegetarian meal, there’s nothing much to expect—just a filling but poor-quality meal.
On top of that, they lack ethics and basic customer service skills. These restaurants survive only because people continue to visit; otherwise, they have nothing exceptional to offer.
The whiteboard at the left entrance has handwritten prices, according to which the veg meal should cost Rs. 70. However, they charged us Rs. 80 for a veg meal. I confirmed with one waiter, and he said it should be Rs. 70. Then another waiter, with a poor attitude, said it's Rs. 80 and that they haven’t updated the board yet. I said okay. Then I asked the lady at the counter, and she confirmed the veg meal is Rs. 70. That’s when the drama began.
The owner, with a cheap and low mindset, instructed the lady to charge Rs. 80, even though the listed price was Rs. 70. The lady then said, “I have to charge what the owner says.” I told her I had no problem paying, but it’s about ethics and standards, which are clearly lacking here. She replied, “I’m just an employee.”
I said, “No worries, I will pay, but I will definitely leave a review.” Suddenly, the lady at the counter started behaving like the owner, saying she doesn’t care about reviews because their business will continue regardless.
I don’t know how much this review will impact their business, but I am writing it to protect the image of Kerala. I live in Kerala, having migrated from another state. I hold a Kerala voter ID, I own a home here, and I know that the people of Kerala are genuinely good at heart and conduct. But because of people like this, tourists who accidentally eat at this restaurant may walk away with a wrong impression of Kerala...
